Title: 'Creating' character forever?

Hello!
I need some help here D:
Whenever i try to make a char, i get stuck on the 'creating' dialog.. It never works, so i am unable to play :(
I have already reinstalled 3 times.. (I got carried away..) But nothing changes.
I did find another thread for this, but it was from 2012, and there was no solution..
is there one now?
Any help would be appreciated!

I've experienced this. Try changing your rendering system in the video settings. Also, have you installed the patch? Sometimes that will fix the problem.

Unfortunately, changing the rendering system seemed to make no difference,
and i have already installed the patch :(

When I had this problem, most of the time, I could just wait 10 - 15 minutes and try again. Everything would be fine. Is your internet connection strong? And did you just sign up/Have you ever gone in game before now? If so, when did you start having the issue?

This happens to me also when I'm creating a new character or when I change too much on an existing character. I get around this by making just making small changes, or just creating the character step by step.

For example, go through the first tab and name it; change the height, length and everything else. Save it,  go back and edit the character again and go through the next tab. Save it and edit it again, going to the next tab etc.

The more changes you make then the more the wait waiting for your character to finish creating or loading.

I think my internet connection is ok currently :o I actually signed up 1/2 years ago, knowing i would play the game later, (I wanted an account to be sure that registration wouldn't be closed when i eventually went to play x3) - No i have never been in game before, this is my first proper attempt at character creation :c

I'll definitely try that (I'll edit this with the result in a few minutes xD)

Unfortunately, this didn't seem to work either :(

I managed to create a character - though i can't actually change it, and it's on the generic settings..
I just installed the preset .exe, (Although i'm not using presets) It seemed to help a little (Not sure how!) Now i've just got to create a personalized character without any crashes.. wish me luck!

Ah, glad it seems fixed c: If it ever happens again, you cam always try re-installing and not the patch, the regular setup has all the updates and things that the patch would fix.
