FH keeps crashing in Map Maker, and I have no idea why. I met all the requirements, but when I added the name of my heightmap, it crashes. As far as I know, there's nothing major that could mess with it. It's square, it's grayscale... The only thing likely to be wrong is the location. How do you make a map folder anyway?

All height maps go into Feralheart\media\terrains. c: Make sure the height map is:
- one layer
- .png file
- has no alpha channel
- and is 513x513.
Hopefully that fixes something.

When you make a map, make sure:
- It's best to have your map 513 x 513
- It's in greyscale
- It's all one layer
- It has no alphachannel
- You should save it as a PNG file in the terrains folder. (FeralHeart/Media/terrains)
- Make sure you save it like this: MapNameGoesHereTerrain.png
- Make sure it's not transparent
- If you're computer can't handle advanced tools, use simple brushes to make your height map.

I have done all that, but it still crashes. The only thing that might cause problems is transparency, and how do I get rid of that...?

Since I don't really have time to make a tutorial here for you myself using pictures, I'll advise you to watch these videos.
MoonKitty26 (WildCat26) has kindly made these videos for both photoshop and gimp, showing you what you need to do for your heightmap to be working. She also has a great mask tutorial if you want to add textures to your terrain, and you can have up to 3 of them.
