Title: my feral heart stopped working

HELP my fearl heart stopped working ever since i got windows 8/8.1 my feral heart stopped working.. it used to work fine on XP but now it will crash after render settings setup so i cant even launch the game i would be very greatful if a MOD/operator responds and please if you do try to explain what has happed to me a little more prciseed i am only a kid ya know? :)

im sorry but i cant it wont let me post a screen shot it says my file is to big but its not its only 6KB!

That's strange. Are you uploading it through Tinypic.com first? Make sure you do that. :3 Just upload your image and then take the link encased with that [img.]http://-link-[./img] code. You can try changing your game's rendering system if you have not tried it already:
CRASHING.
- Go into C:/Feralheart/media/particles and delete any ending in _0, _1, and so on. You could also search "particle" in your PC and delete any ending in _0, _1, etc. Particles can sometimes find themselves in other folders. - Change your rendering system by doing this:
First, go into C:/Feralheart. If you look at the FH main folder, you will see a flie called: 'orge.cfg' Click it, and open it with "NOTEPAD." (http://i62BannedImageSite/28re5wn.png) Look at the first two lines in the orge.cfg file. That is where you change your rendering system. (http://i58BannedImageSite/vhfdop.png) If you followed everything that was typed and the instructions in the pictures, you should have successfully switched your rendering system.
Sometimes a quick change of the rendering system works - It happens every once in a while. ;)

Sometimes Windows 8 will cause some issues with the game, but changing the rendering system might help. I have a Windows 8 laptop, and this helped with that. Just changing it as Alpha said might help ya out. Or, you can also try changing it's compatiability to Windows 8 Service Pack. I will post a tutorial below.
Games not opening up? Try this easy way! Windows 7-8/Vista/XP
Try this for both FeralHeart and your other games that will not open, or simply crash at the start:

Right click the game icon on your desktop and select "Properties" then click on "Compatibility and follow the instructions in the image above. When you reach the dropdown box, select the format you are using~ Finally, click "Apply" then "OK".
Also, For FeralHeart (If the game won't open) open up your main FeralHeart Folder and open up a config file named "ogre" in notepad (or any other word document) and replace it with this:
Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem [Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem] Allow NVPerfHUD=No FSAA=0 Floating-point mode=Fastest Full Screen=No Rendering Device=Monitor-1-AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series Resource Creation Policy=Create on all devices VSync=No VSync Interval=1 Video Mode=1280 x 800 @ 32-bit colour sRGB Gamma Conversion=No [OpenGL Rendering Subsystem] Colour Depth=32 Display Frequency=N/A FSAA=0 Full Screen=No RTT Preferred Mode=FBO VSync=No VSync Interval=1 Video Mode=800 x 600 sRGB Gamma Conversion=No
Then save and relaunch the game! (If nothing takes affect, try restarting your computer too.) However, if FeralHeart DOES open and it leads onto the title screen then go to Options\Video\Rendering Subsystem\Direct3D9 then relaunch the game~

oh yes it has started again now i am using not openGL but the other one but it started up again well i did put in the pawesome items pack v5... please help me floof! :(

ok so now i will open then put in user pass whatever then i go to play i load get there to where i am in bonfire and then i move and BAM it stops working

Really? That's strange. Look in Feralheart\media\particles for any files ending in _0, _1, and so on. Doubles do crash the game.
