You know, the ones that are lurking in Ficho Tunnel.
In my opinion, I don't really mind them. Well, they're having fun, and I guess we should just let them be. But the designs tick me off sometimes. I don't think black and red animatronics are kid-friendly...
I've seen Shadow Balloon Boy once. (He's kind of an OC, I guess? It's not entirely canon.) Yeah, that's kinda okay, since there's the Shadow Bonnie hallucination. But unfortunately, it has red markings and very unnecessary accessories. (He wears two spiked collars and this one... scout glasses thing!) He sounds more like emo phase BB to me. Also, putting "FNAF OC" at the back of the name doesn't sound good. Perhaps one should put "the [insert animal here]" instead or something... IDK.
Yeah, that's my opinion. How 'bout yours?
-
Ehz, I think it can get a bit out of control sometimes. I mean don't get me wrong, I love watching people play the game but there is just a LOT of OCs everywhere from that and I mean...I think RPing humans on here is fine, because I feel like it is creative and since this is an actual GOOD RP game, I tried finding human ones, even other animal ones...yeahno. But like for FNaF, I feel like it is bland or something...like...Idk..It only bothers me when I am trying to get to Bonfire and I have to go through a blob of FNaF chars at the waterfall in Ficho
But they're ok I suppose
-
I think it's great!
And I'm not just saying that because I'm a FNAF fan.
They certainly have fun, and it allows players to express their ideas, theories and imagination.
But the only think I disagree with is the so-called 'powers.' that the OCs have. e.g. fire powers.
-
I think they're fine. I have a FNAF OC myself, and they're just sitting in Ficho and roleplaying/chatting, nothing wrong with that.
I haven't payed too much attention to the designs, but one thing that does bug me is some of their names. All of the FNaF's character's names are very stereotypical, like Freddy the Bear and Bonnie the Bunny. It just annoys me when people's OCs don't match how the show, movie, game, etc. named their characters. That's just a little nitpick from me, but otherwise, I'm perfectly fine with FNaF Ocs.
-
I'm okay with them as long as they leave me alone. I have had no problems as of yet, but the future may hold different. Who knows. I am slightly bugged by designs, but I usually excuse it as the fact that you sometimes can't make the character with the in-game markings no matter how hard you try (and sometimes downloading markings won't help). Other times it's the names. I have names such as Leo the Leopard/Panther, Batti the Bat, and the Glitch (dunno what his name was, but he is a wolf and deactivated). I see these crazy names, and i'm like...these are things that kids were supposed to know and love XD! Just like Turtlex, it's just a little nitpick. I even kinda go insane over the names not rhyming e_e. Dunno why, I just do.
As for powers, since I have yet to actually roleplay with one...I can't say I have seen those myself. If I do, I will start internet slapping people >:I (though Bonnie does appear to teleport in game, but I think he's just THAT fast).
-
Don't worry, I've seen way far worse not kid-friendly characters than these FNAF chars. Consider yourself lucky lol xD
I don't get why people are so worried about the characters' appropriateness... kids will love scary things anyways.
-
I have a "Foxy" char e3e
-
I personally don't mind them...
As long as they're not mauling innocent children and ripping their faces off (you know who you are, Bonnie.), they're not much trouble.
I may or may not be designing my own animatronic as we speak, so...
-
To be completely honest, this whole ''Five Nights At Freddy's'' thing makes me abit annoyed and kinda put a distance between myself and those people. The first few weeks the game came out was fine, I bought it on steam and played around with it. I even got scared by it for awhile, but then after weeks pass I stopped playing the game because I got very bored with it and yet people were still drooling and screaming like children over it. I was honestly quite glad that once the hype for the game died down for a few weeks. Until the second game's trailer came out...Ugh. Same game just a more spookier story right? You have to watch the screen and jump screens galore. Oh and story and plot because why not? I dunno it just seems like the same game only with a number ''2'' after it. I didn't even buy the second game due to me wasting my money on the first game. I'm usually not the one who is for the Original Characters, because they make them just like the ones in the game. The ones used in the game are left behind and then others become popular and famous and all the fandom and kids love that character and make their own Character just like them. I dunno, I'm not trying to be rude or mean or anything because you can make whatever you like as long as it makes you happy, but I'm just not a fan of them at all.
-
I can't really say that I'm supportive of this but I don't have a issue with it, kinda just like my opinion on the games themselves. As I understand it the games have a deep and elaborate plot hidden under the simple game play so there's plenty of space for people to operate within cannon and even on its fringes. I suppose that I don't care what a person role plays as long as they role play well. Did any of that make sense? probably not.
-
I don't mind seeing them. But the colors do get a bit... off on a few of them. Aye, half of them be marshmellows for me so I can't complain. I would rather see the original characters rather than some made up on but not everyone wants to role play as an already fully developed character. I'd rather make my own as well.
Ohathosam
-
I will admit, many OCs I've seen for Five Nights at Freddy's in Feralheart are not exactly the most thought-out characters, but I don't mind them much. I mean- the users all have a similar interest that has opened a door to making new friends, and that's something I don't think we, the part of the community not into it, should think poorly of them for. Let them have their fun because it will do them more good than any bad it causes you.
-
The Five Nights At Freddy's original characters are no different than my opinion of other fan-based characters from various games. I have no mind to the characters and I, myself, don't even mind interacting with them if I'm approached. Spyro the Dragon, My Little Pony, Black Butler original characters, they're all fan bases just like Five Nights At Freddy's.
Some people like to derive influence from those shows or games to soon create their own characters. Even if they never do, they simply find enjoyment portraying that existing character. Then there are people who play those fan-based characters because they like the environment they exist in. It's many sides to what a person likes in a game or show. Thus, I could never bring myself to say it's not appropriate. It's a game, nothing more or less. There are no real-life symbols that needs to be questioned, no conspiracies, and no threat to young animals.
It's simply another game people enjoy or dislike for their reasons. Create the characters, draw them, avoid them, or debate why they do what they do. All and all, Five Nights At Freddy's original characters are just another added fan base that'll be here, short-term or not.
-
I for one am not much of a fan of Five Nights At Freddy's. In my personal opinion I just find the concept to be a bit silly. Humorous even, never really found the game to be 'hop out of my chair' scary. I think it's the fact that I never found the element of a animatronic to be 'scary'.. Just silly. But in the end when its all set and done, let them be who they want to be. Just keep that silly Sesame Street detour[That's what me and my colleagues say] fandom away from me.
-
I'm not a fan of FNaF O.C's, nor the fandom. Why? Because it's
getting a bit too out of hand and repetitive. I'm going bye what I've seen. There are a lot of people
whom copy one of the characters, for say foxy, and make their own just like him - and only change
the colouring and maybe gender. And what I really hate is when people bring other fandoms into
FNaF and make, like, sonic animatronics.
Now the game. The game, my opinion is different on. I like the idea of having a kid's resturant haunted
by the souls of deceased children that live in the animatronics, perhaps even their bodies remain in
them, it gives it a more creepy atmosphere. And I love that. It's masking macabre with innocence.
-
Zircon, Scott is okay with what you call 'copying'. It's not that way for the FNAF fanbase, people know that it's owned by Scott Cawthon and Scott doesn't mind.
My own opinion though? I have one myself, I approve of FNAF OCs. Just as long as they don't go out of hand like bright colored, withered animatronics. But I am totally ok with this and I like it, I am a big fan of FNAF. But I don't mean to be rude, but people think that it's all about the scare. I don't love it because of the scare, I love it because the backstory is such a mystery. I'm surprised most people don't notice this and think it's all about the scare, people try to fix the backstory. Because we FNAF fans find it as a puzzle, I have no problem with the FNAF OCs or FNAF. I just don't approve of people who think that way about what FNAF is about.
-

Oh, no. I understand that but I was stating that I don't really like that because
it's not really thought out. I didn't mean like RPing as the real in-game character - I ment people creating OCs that
look too much like them, or even a genderbent version.
-
Since I came back to FH i've seen numerous FNAF characters and I have no problem with it, they're not doing anything wrong so let them be.
Although I will admit I despise the FNAF games with a passion and how the creator seems to be milking hard from the cult following it has.
-
I personally don't care for the FNAF thing. Why? Because I'm not interested. But it doesn't bother me at all when users go around with the FNAF OC's, because I find it really cute in a way. Why? Because it's a group of players interacting with each other and having a pretty good time with the OC story/characters and personalities. Overall It's more of a positive thing for me than a negative.
-
Edit: IMO,I don't like FNAF. After 4 games,it's boring and repetitive. The story isn't original either,it never was. I changed my mind about that.
I don't really mind OCs,since I mostly see them in Ficho Tunnel and FNAF-themed maps and I don't really stay on there much. As long as they don't have any inappropriate behavior it's fine for me. They're just doing a thing they enjoy doing, nothing wrong with it. And yes,the fandom is not good either. I continue to keep that away from me since I never interacted with it anyway.

couldn't explain this any other way. Thank you, Berrymutt. I have the same opinion.

I know I can't change what ya think but people do not love it cause of the spook, it's the backstory being a mystery. When will someone notice this?
-
Ok, ditto on what Berrymutt said..
I, myself, did not care for any of the games to the slightest.
I thought they were all very redundant, and generally the same thing.
The only thing scary were the obvious jump scares. I didnt even think the plot was even slightly spooky.
As far as OCs based on it, I'd never knock creativity.
I personally think the concept FNAF characters is a little far fetched and feel like most FNAF characters are basically the same. But thats just me. If you find joy in making those OCs, by all means, do what makes you happy!
But to me, I think the whole FNAF craze is silly and will never quite understand what others see in it.
-
Honestly. The game in the beginning wasn't even scary. Maybe a jump scare or two, but honestly the characters themselves were never really spoopy.
They do indeed need a better plot, but the OC basing off of them confuses me. Some people I feel take it too far, but whatever makes you happy.
FNAF is okay in my opinion, but I believe they need to step it up a bit in the scary factors.

In all honesty, Vespian's never been a fan of Five Nights at Freddy's. I mean not to sound cruel nor step on a few toes but this is my sole view of the game. Aye, I've heard from friends of the game's whole story line with the parlor bein' haunted by young children who have deceased/been murdered there but, again in my honest opinion, I feel like he could have done better with the game, better with the plot at least. Don't get me wrong, is it a good plot, but there's certain kinks I have taken note of that leave I either utterly confused or cross as not my ideal taste. I bein' one who absolutely loves horror, I really don't consider FNaF a horror game at all. As stated, it's too "silly" via the gameplay.
As for those who are big fans of FNaF and make OCs 'n the like, while I don't quite understand what they see in the game, doesn't give I the right to justify their preferences. Want to make an OC? Go for it! I'm not nor will I ever be the one who stops ye. Even if ye may interact with I in the game, I'll respond like I always do. As long as every floof's havin' fun.
Methinks the only thing that gets me with FNaF OCs is when individuals genderbend the characters or skip around sayin' they're Foxy's daughter or Freddy's son, etc. or even the characters themselves then try to make 'em act just like/very similar to the original characters when they're not yet familiarized with how to properly reenact the animatron's personality. Thus, they end up lookin' to I like plushies rollin' around instead of what the game originally intended 'em to be. In-character wise, I speak of course.
-
Fist, sorry if i spell stuff wrong, now here we go;
I've made 90% bad expiriences with FNAF OC's AND canon characters. For example today i went to the fnaf2 map and a foxy and...vixen oc were literally only doing everything labelled inappropriate and as i tried to tell them its kinda against the rules they wanted to tell me the owner of the map allowed it. The map owner can make his own rules in a map i guess but they shouldnt take away the main FH rules. Then i encountered a lot of mary sues and gary sues who basically replaced the original characters roles and were oh so perfect and able to instand kill every single living thing on the planet. Or the ones who take their AU pizzaria rps a bit too serious and try to kick you outta the map if you show up as a canon character yelling "this is not freddys pizza gtfo" alright. I understand people wanna do their rp stuff but hell its a public map. But yeah, a lot characters get into serious conflict with some canon stuff, if people say they did the bite of 87 or some stuff like that, they pair themselfs up with literally everyone and even make babys even tho they are robots and cant do such thibgs but WHATEVER. I try to oversee this but i fail everytime because...i like the game..those people kinda ruin it..that hurts.
But i met 1 oc who was actually well thought about and a nice, not immature and pervert person behind the character! I met a view others too, and the first view i've got of them was actually quiet nice too, sadly didnt manage to meet them again tho..
That got longer and more confusing than expected so sorry if i jump a bit from theme to theme...
[ Replaced a certain term ye have used with a more appropriate bundle of words. Gotta watch what those fingers may type down. ]

Honestly, I get pretty annoyed by the FNAF characters around Feralheart. I've never played the game, but it seemed like the game has become extremly overrated. And i'm not judgeing people who do like FNAF, its just that I dislike the game. I was never a big fan of scary games and etc..I just really see that game everywhere I go, and its gotten on my nerves abit. I do have a few friends who love that game, but I don't dislike them for likeing it xD.
I've only heard little of the game and what it's about. I've watched some youtube videos of the game and etc, it never really made me want to play the game, as I said before scary games arent my thing. The characters in the game also bothered me abit, they dident seem....creative in my opinion. They seemed to have been rushed to make these characters, and not taken there time and planning it out. Also, It kind of got annoying EVEN MORE when they came out with more FNAF's like FNAF 2.
Again i've never played the game so I might have the wrong oppionion this is just a thought from watching youtube videos and told expernices from my friends
So there's my opinion c:
-
People can make their OOC's whatever they want, but I personally don't find the game very entertaining. It's easy and not remotely scary. I guess it must entertain someone though, to have become as popular as it is. So as I say to many things people do these days, whatever floats thy boat.
-
I'm pretty neutral on them all...They may as well be Creepy Pasta characters for all I care. They normally leave me be, and so I do the same for them. I never enjoyed the game (being the chicken I am), but you know, it's kind nice to see people trying to be creative and add a new twist to something they like? Then again, that could just be me trying to force positivity....
-

I have to agree with Vespian on this one. When I heard about it from a friend, I was eager to experience a terror filled rpg, but what I got was a point and click game where I close the doors, otherwise I'll get a little tune and a jumpscare.

Aye, pretty much sums up my feelings.
-
I love the game. I don't usually play horror games, but I like the backstory of it and the characters.
Now... OCs...
(Warning: If you have an FNAF oc, this may offend you.)
It is EXTREMELY rare for me to even slightly like an FNAF oc. Why? 1. Because most of them are... well... what they are. "This is Wolfy the Wolf he is black with red eyes and grey paws and is missing an arm and bit a kid's leg off" First of all... the pizzeria wouldn't allow characters like that. 2spooky4kids. None of the main animatronics are scary, except in FNAF 3 because it takes place at a HORROR attraction therefore must be scary. Yes, they have the black eyes with white pupil. But that's only at night when they are trying to get to you. 2. Because the main story only has so many animatronics. "Oh but fandoms like MLP don't have those OCs as cannon but people use them anyway!" Yeah, okay. BUT... MLP's universe allows for infinite characters. There are normal ponies walking about in the world. You are able to create an inhabitant of Equestria that doesn't have to be super important. You can't do that with FNAF because every character is important. There are no background characters besides children that visit there and such.
Now... me saying this will not stop people from making them, I know. But at least people should actually try to make them conform to the game if they make one.
If you want to make one, you should make the name start with the first letter of their species. ((B)onnie is a (B)unny, so you could do something like "Anna the Armadillo" or "Wally the Wolf" though I would stay away from "Wolfy the Wolf" or "Elephanty the Elephant" as they are not creative. Sure there's Foxy but he's an exception. The rest have different names.)
You should make the colors REALISTIC. The rest of them have happy colors. Don't make a super dark evil one. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Perhaps you could make a green cat or something. Also don't put twenty colors and markings on it. Keep it simple.
Don't put a ton of accessories on it, and make the accessories relevant to their purpose (example: Foxy is a pirate attraction so he has a hook, gold teeth, and an eyepatch, Chica serves people (assumed) so she has a bib that says "Let's Eat!!!" (or "Let's Party!!!" according to FNAF2)
If it absolutely positively MUST be broken, keep it in a parts and service room or something, out of the view of children. They wouldn't use a broken animatronic. (Exception is Mangle, since she is a take-apart-put-back-together thing.)
Make an animal that isn't in the game already. So it wouldn't be rational to have two bunnies or two bears or two foxes. (In FNAF2 the withered ones don't count. They are not in use.)
Jeez... didn't mean for it to be this long. Eugh. Sorry. >>
-
I really don't care for FNAF OC's since they've never bothered me before. As long as they are not harassing people or breaking FH rules, I really don't see a problem with them.
Now there was a time where I did see a Chica character with the words "adult roleplayer for adult roleplays. No children allowed pls." And asked, "What do you mean by that?" and their response in whisper was. "This Chica is supposed to be a sexy Chica that pleasures the night guard characters."
I thought that was enough FH for one day. Although it didn't come close to the "sexy anthro gigginox" character I encountered in Bonfire Island.

Oh my lorde's royals.
This, basically sums up my opinion of FNaF OCs and the fandom itself.
I used to be a fan of the game myself, but...
The OCs, Fandom, ect have since ruined it for me.
-
Though I hate FNAF with all my being, I don't mind these people being FNAF characters, they're only having fun, but if they try to drag me into their roleplay or force me to make a FNAF character and all that (which never happened and I hope that will never happen) I would be pretty ticked off at them for trying to drag me into something that contains something I absolutely do not like. otherwise, they're fine with me :)
-
I have an entire group starring my...Half-oc. Long story, oops
-
i dont really mind the ocs and stuff i just leave them alone (even though i did kill a 'vincent' character once... long story involving a car...) i even used to have an oc myself even though it was before i joined fh but really all the ummm.... rude stuff i guess i would have to say.... ruined it for me but the game wasnt scary... yeah the jumpscares would suprise me a little because they were unexpected but overall im quite neutral on fnaf
-
I don't have a problem with it. It's actually quite fun to watch them role-play.
-
I think they're fine, it's not like they're harming anyone.
Then again, I am a fan of FNAF, so that might as well be the reason why I don't mind them so much.
-
I'm personally not a fan of the series or fandom, so I'm admittedly a bit wary of the OCs. Some of them can be utterly brilliant in terms of both storytelling and design, whereas others I've encountered seem to care little for what's appropriate to roleplay. Of course, it's similar to most of FH's population, but it's definitely more obvious when it's crammed into one teeny-tiny area. There's so, so many arguments, too. I try to avoid them or dash right on through.
Still, I'm glad the fans have somewhere to roleplay out their ideas and passions. I just wish a select few of them took the effort to keep the profanity and such in check.
-
Eugh, They are getting a bit annoying in my opinion on FH.. FNaF Alone is getting on my nerves.
-
Personally I despise FNAF, it was good and fun when it first came out and now people are just taking it too far. I've also had a lot of issues with the characters at random attacking me when I enter Ficho or when there is no one else in bonfire bar me and them (excuse the random TLK rp'ers that rarely do anything on local) I also don't believe a lot of its appropriate, the few I come across tend to be aggressive if you even come within a meter of them.
I don't like them at in all honesty, great if your having fun. But don't involve other people in your madness
-

i gotta agree with you here i was actually quite excited about the game ievenusedtobeafoxyfangirl but after the second game came out it got really boring and i lost intrest
