Title: I want to be sure: FH on a Dell Laptop?

So for Christmas my mother gave me a laptop, and it's pretty neat, and I'm getting used to it. But I want to stop lagging her PC and take my FH roleplays on the laptop, but I'm worried about how it'll work out for my laptop. I don't want it to lag, or worse, mess up, but I'm aware that FH doesn't cause viruses.
The laptop is Inspiron 3531 (Windows 8.1 with Bing) if that helps.

You should lower the game settings, such as turning off the water reflection and lowering the anti-aliasing settings.

No program will mess up her laptop unless there is a virus or you do something really wrong... the maximum you may get are BSODs.

Oh, now every time I try and download, the computer won't let me. It interrupts the download.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 that I got for Christmas. I downloaded the game and it crashes on the black screen at the beginning. I've tried everything that the forums said to do. Can I have some help, too?
