Okay, before I say much of anything, I do not mean IRL. I only mean some random person following you around in-game, be it completely harmless or a little creepy/annoying. Please don't mention any users on this topic, I don't want naming and shaming to occur.
So, I'll share my personal experiences. I've only been what I consider 'extensively stalked' by someone in-game once. I'm not going to mention any usernames (and I frankly don't remember the user, it was so long ago). Basically, this was back before I'd created a group I was satisfied with and I was making groups like wildfire and trying to find one that fit me. What was unsettling was that, on several occasions, a person with the same user, (always) the same character name, and almost the same design, character age, and history would attempt to join my group. The first few times were okay and I was like "Hey, maybe this person just enjoys roleplaying with me."
But after the first few times it started getting annoying. Eventually, I confronted the person and politely asked why they joined every. Single. Group. I made. They said that it must have been their sibling since they share accounts (mind you this was when they were trying to join another one of my groups in another character almost exactly like all the other ones that had joined my previous groups). I was like "Oh, okay." but in my mind I was like "Wow that's either true and I'm not believing it or it's a bogus excuse..."
Another, more minor time was when this person with horrible grammar skills came over to my (awesome) group while we were debating some group issues and maintenance details and told us we were on her pack's territory basically and that the alpha would kill her if the alpha found out. We were polite to her and such, and she kept hanging around with us and asking us to play tag with her and when we said we didn't really want to she'd get all emotional and tell us we weren't fun and that she'd leave and find fun people (of course she never left until we all got really sick of her and ran off). Also, in the middle of this I had to go check out something that was going on in another part of the map. She kept trying to follow me until I told her several times to stop. It was just kind of annoying and not really as stalker-ish as the first incident.
Anyways, I want to hear your stories! Have you ever met one of those really, really clingy players that you just couldn't shake? Tell me below!
-
Once I was sitting being all lonely and stuff at the edge of the water in Fluorite and some dude and his friend came and slowly crawled towards me.. so I started crawling away.. so we just were crawling after each other for like 5 minutes until they gave up. I guess that counts as a stalker xD -not really but i guess-
other times I'm usually the stalker who casually sits on a rock staring at my friends or something
-
XD Sometimes I f3 stalk my friends, and if it looks like they're doing something interesting then I go over and say hi in a very stalkerish way (randomly walking over and sitting on them and then waiting for them to say something)
But I've never seriously stalked someone before, thankfully. I wonder if anyone else here has been stalked?
-
T'is moments like these when that beloved Block Button becomes the savior of the pixel world.
Vespian honestly hasn't been very much stalked before as far as I know. I'm not interestin' enough to be stalked since I just silently roam the public maps.
I actually scarcely come across stalkers much. Spies? Yes, they're everywhere but stalkers? Not so much. Chances are yer second example with a stalker was actually just a young user seekin' entertainment. Thus is why she did her best to peek yer interest (by callin' out that her Alpha was goin' to kill her if they found ye' on their territory, actin' IC I assume) and get ye' 'n yer comrades intrigued with her meager antics. Mayhaps she just sought friendship but didn't quite know how to act. I understand that ye' more than likely wished not to engage with her so I advise whenever users of the such cross yer path again, just block 'em instead of riskin' hurtin' them emotionally. Nobody will judge ye' if ye' do so for ye' have every right but things might escalate if the user becomes offended with bein' requested to go elsewhere. It also relinquishes ye' from the possible tension ye'd have to endure if ye' didn't block 'em beforehand.
Not too sure what to make with the first incident however. That does seem rather sinister and I too would have questioned it but as ye' have stated, mayhaps they just enjoyed yer role-plays?
Gettin' back to my experiences, I have witnessed a few times users "stalk" a certain friend of mine. Although really, stalkin' via the internet can, a majority of the time, be easily solved by blockin' and reportin' 'em to which I have instructed said friend to do so and the problem was more or less situated. Not many users go to the extreme as to make multiple accounts/change IP addresses 'n the like just to stalk someone here on FeralHeart and I pray none will grow that obsessed. That is stalkin' in my book.
-
Eh, I've never really been 'stalked'.
Though, I remember when I was introducing my friend to FeralHeart - we did some playful meandering, heh.
-
No, but I have to say I am a bit of a stalker. <.<
I'd normally sit around and f3 my friends when they're roleplaying or hanging out. This only happens when I'm really bored and just sitting around, doing something like map-making or w/e
-
I've ran into my fair share of these kinds of people. They're usually new players who want to make friends, or a mate beggar. I can only remember a few occasions with people just randomly following me. However, I can remember one strange one where someone copied my character exactly, following me around and even sitting right beside of me. He/she copied basically everything I did for a straight hour or so. It was actually quite entertaining.
-
Hm being stalked by someone? Yes I have been. I honestly don't know why they were 'stalking' me, probarely to talk or something..But where ever I went they were and usually whispered me. Weird. *Shrug* I dunno. LOL
-
Every day by Alpha
Hurhur yes indeed I have been stalked a few times in game by people I do not know.
Usually I don't just run away or ignore them. Most commonly I'll say hello and ask them what's up.
But I do admit its a little creepy when I see someone following me.
It's almost never anything serious or worth blockin them for tho
I think I've only had to block someone once but -shrug- it happens.
-
Hmm... I wonder... *slow head turning to Turtle*
Well, yeah. Mostly by my friends, but there's been a few times when some random floofs followed me around.
Nothing too creepy though, mostly just mate/pup/group beggars who made themselves look exactly like me and follow me around while buddy/group request spamming.
-
I remember someone started to stalk my precious Zebra at Bonfire and i guessed it was someone that wanted to hunt me down, but it simply kept watching me like. "=u= Yer mine.", nothing to say a lot, i have been stalked other times but i forgot.
-
-Casually F3's around Flourite, stalking peo....-
Me stalk..?? Nooo.. Me no stalky x'D Haha.. Ok, so I might F3 around the maps a lot and sometimes picks random members to whisper to them a casual "Psst". But I don't stalk. Just researching.
-
When I first joined the game, there were some people stalking me every now and then. Mostly because I created all of my characters beautiful and attractive and the other noobies wanted me for a mate. xD
But no, not a real stalking. At least not one that I remember.
I, on the other hand, can call myself a stalker. I pretty often sit and F3 the people around (well, okay, who doesn't it). I've followed people for a long time, yes. Once I clicked on a player so that starry thing could appear and I stalked them all the way, I eventually wanted to role-play with them, but then something happened and I gave up.
-
I don't remember to be stalked, but I remember that I stalked people sometimes, but it never last long.
-
I haven't been stalked by anyone. At least I don't think...
However, I do F3 people to study their character's when I'm bored because they either look awesome or
...I'm just bored.
It's kind of scary to think about stalkers that actually track down players for reasons. I honestly
keep a look out for things like that because that's like serious. Report, Report, Report.
I can tell banter(joking) from serious scenarios though.
Be careful guys. xD
With the new members, yes they may follow people around but that's not really stalking so
Ill leave it at that. Lonely players(like me kek) often walk up to random players and chat with
them but that's just being friendly and If they continue to whisper that person, the person
may see it as stalking or being creepy.
Idunno, Idunno.

Stalking? Yaaaaas.
Pssh, not really. I've never been stalked 'seriously' as such, but I've had random people come and sit next to me for no reason and then follow me when I switch spots... Usually I just poof, though. I don't really like talking to unfamiliar people for some reason... They make me nervous.
But, then again, I have also had totally random people send me friend requests. So now I have an overflowing friends list containing a grand total of 2 names I actually recognize. "III have no idea who you arrrreeeee~!" Is my typical response when checking my online friends list when I first log on.
I'm not even sure if that qualifies as stalking.. Buuut whatevs.
And then there's the F3 button. We're the bestest of friends >:3
-
I don't recall being 'stalked' at all in FeraHeart as far as I'm aware, and hopefully I haven't. But when it comes the people following you around maps (which I guess is stalking, but not at it's worse) it does tend to get annoying. I seem to just say hello, or ignore them and if they aren't doing any harm I just leave them be or log off. Sounds quite rude but it's rude to stalk, also.
People in FeralHeart stalk other people whether it's fandoms, a staffer, a distant friend. But in the end, if it's a bother the block button becomes very useful in cases. Interesting topic you have created.
-
I guess I have never really been stalked more so just followed like many others however there have been a few instances where ive been slightly irritated only because said "stalkers" as you would call them would copy my character slowly over time haha but other then that I guess not really stalked.
-
A few times. I'm often poked and squashed in-game by folk I don't know-- which is fairly sweet! Sometimes it does go too far when I shift maps to Flourite and get interrupted mid-roleplay by a random follower. I'm all for chatting, but when I'm in a scene with my friends it's admittedly a little jarring.
The only serious stalking I've had is someone I'd barely spoken to expressing their romantic interest in me. They constantly spammed me-- and even infiltrated a private group's forum to grab our map download! So, so many personal questions were asked pertaining to my offline life; it was honestly a bit creepy-- and certainly not what I'd expect from FeralHeart. Mercifully, rigorous blocking has cut off contact after it went too far, but it was definitely an uncomfortable experience.

Hmm...well..I have been followed/stalked before by a username before. To keep their user a secret let's just call them...hmm...{Rosie}
Well when I was on an older account {Rosie} followed me about in role-plays. When I first joined a warrior cat clan I joined on a character known as Silverstripe. She was a soon to be mother, and the person volunteered to be my kit. So I was happy. Taking them into my clan I noticed how when I would do things they would always be there. Now that was normal since they were my kid so I shrugged it off at first. Then one day I decided to go to a new rp once my group disbanned.
I then joined another warrior cat group and a wolf pack. Both my characters not long after found mates and were readying to have babies. In both group {Rosie} again somehow knew I needed babies, and volunteered. It got a tad weird when they were in three groups with me, but I still shrugged it off. Then when it came to a fourth group it got really creepy. They had began following me all the time always wanting to be my characters kids. Sometimes they would have me adopt them, and then if I didn't have a mate they would pick one for me.
Sooner or later I got freaked enough to where I just stayed offline for a while until they thought I quit, and logged online with another account. It was weird and freaky.

I'd met someone before who'd seemed pretty nice at first, and we started whispering back and forth and became friends. Then they started talking about FH mating and it got really.. awkward. He ended up asking me if I'd ever want to RP mating with him and I.. er, I was #outtie.
I ended up removing him from my friends list and never saw him again, until about a week after.. he started following me around, and I'd always see him somewhere near me at almost all times.. it was somewhat scary. o-o I ended up taking a weeks break from FeralHeart and after that I never saw him again.

Oo, this is a great topic! And I have the time to tell about my favorite stalker, Raynard (name changed to save his identity).
When a large roleplay I had contributed to ended, I found myself searching for a new group that shined like the old one. Well, long story short, that didn't happen and I got bored of searching. Just like any bored player on FeralHeart, I began messing around in Bonfire Island with nothing to do. I figured I'd take a break from everything and play on a strictly OOC character, mostly staying at the Mate Center and Adoption Center. It wasn't long before I met and became familiar with the long-term center drifters.
One afternoon of playing, I found myself at the Mate Center as usual. A very small and obnoxious neon character ended up butting its way between a friend and I, sitting on my character. I was called to the middle shortly after and they followed. I proceeded to laugh, believing they were troll character.
I didn't think they were taking it seriously. I sure wasn't! Looking back on it, I still laugh at how crazy his little neon character looked beside my large, mostly realistic one.
Being stupid and thinking it would be funny, I picked him.
He didn't type anything in reply as we walked away from the Mate Center circle. Not even a typical friend request was sent. I tried chatting with him, explaining that he could go back and troll the other players at the Mate Center, but the poor guy didn't do anything. He just sat on my character. This was around the time that I truly looked at his character name, Raynard.
Well, luckily a friend summoned me through whisper. I jumped at the opportunity and poofed to my home to meet them. We started doing some casual roleplay like old times. Until Raynard showed up.
His character was much larger this time, but still just as neon as before. I tried talking to him again. He replied with a meek, "hi im raynard".
Then he proceeded to follow me around the public maps for at least a week. I began to believe he was a friend of mine messing with me on a different account. No one confessed no matter how many times I interrogated them. He vanished after that week.
A month later, when I had fallen into a Truth or Dare themed group of different players, Raynard came back - just as neon and silent as always. However, this time he had a bigger vocabulary and actually used it, sometimes saying the words "hello", "like", "u", and "i", along with a few other simple sayings. He once again took a liking to my character, a different one than when I had first met him, and began following me around everywhere. There were times when my friends and I would send him off to other players, only watching him latch on to them for a few minutes before getting their hint to leave. It was then that I realized he couldn't have been any of my past friends. Most of them no longer played FeralHeart at this point or even cared to log on.
Once again, he only hung around for a week.
I made sure to friend him at this time, too.
A few months later, Raynard showed up again. By this point, I had deeply gotten into the Cannibal Canine Chaotics pack, and it was slightly annoying when his character ran around us while in the middle of roleplaying. However, the pack came to adore him, and we allowed him to hang out with us. He spoke more than the last time, acquiring the word "love" for the first time. He also started typing smiley faces (mostly ":)" and :( ). Raynard even retained his hobby of constantly sitting on my character, sometimes sitting on a close friend of mine when I was up.
Probably the sweetest and silliest thing that we managed to get him to say was, "i love u :)".
I've seen Raynard online a few times since then, but he never responds to my whispers and doesn't stay online long. It's been at least a few months since I've seen him now, so I check my friends list once in awhile for his username to pop up. He's long due for another week of stalking!

Aww, kululupuppy, that's really cute actually. One of the happiest ones out of all the stories shared here, actually. Some of the ones I've read over have been a bit creepy, but most have been just a random character following someone around. I didn't expect this topic would get this many posts! I guess a lot of people enjoy sharing quirky occurrences from their in-game times.
-
Someone kept chasing me and trying to couch me XD
I just went to Lonely Cave after that :P
I hate being couched lol
-
I've never been stalked--or maybe I have and I ended up befriending or blocking them without realizing their true intent. I do, however, stalk people on f3 all the time. It's fun and nobody knows when I'm creepin' e w e
-
Oh my goodness, these are some interesting stories. Better yet, hilarious ones. They are just...pft. Anyways, I have indeed been stalked once or twice. But a special one I remember was one that happened just a little while ago, I think last year around October. Maybe...I'm not entirely sure.
To be honest, I was really bored. I was sitting around on one of my recruiting characters, whispering a few friends of mine and watching stuff on YT. I was around the Cape Portal...where all the clan leaders and recruiters usually hang around, right? Well, that day it was pretty quiet. No one was there except a few people just sitting around, like I was. No groups, no recruiters, no nothing. But suddenly this massive pack of people came through the portal. They had tags and everything, with realistic colors, some with presets.
I thought it was pretty convenient, considering I had been waiting for some group or roleplay to come by. So I decided, why not join them? They were a canine group, semi-realistic and had a nice map. Everyone was very friendly, and I really enjoyed being there! Before long I was a known member of the group, and one day we were out recruiting. Several friendly people joined and continued our reign of activity. But one person in particular...well, their roleplay sample was great, and so was their character design. But they seemed very clingy to me and my character. At first I ignored it and I didn't think much of it. But the time came when it was consistent. They whispered me almost every day, asking how I was doing. I thought that was nice of them, but a little weird, ya'know? They didn't seem to interact with any of the other members except me. I tried to ignore it...tried to calm down. Until I got to the point where I switched roleplays.
I got a bit uncomfortable. I don't know...I never really friended them, either. So I joined this other warrior cat roleplay, which was pretty good for a while. But after we went recruiting and returned to our map, I got a whisper from one of our members. "I know you." I was a little spooked. I mean, anyone would be, right? I asked them who they were, and they addressed themselves to me. At this point, I was flipping out on my bed. It was the same person who wouldn't back off. I didn't know how they knew I was there...whether it was coincidence or not. But I quit the roleplay and decided to take a break from FH for a while.
When I got back, I hung around my friends for a bit. And a week after then, when I finally felt better being alone, I found this character sitting beside me when I came back from making food. I felt silly. I thought it was one of my friends on a different account! I asked them who they were, and they just responded with a smiley face. I was seriously confused. I tried moving away, glitching myself inside of a rock, but they just followed casually. After a little while of that, chasing each other around silently, they said, "It's me." Okay, I don't know if any of you play Five Night's at Freddy's, but I do. This scared the crap out of me.
I finally blocked them after that, decided to put an end to this ridiculousness. I don't know if they were just joking with me, but either way I was getting tired of it. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Hehe, oh, sorry this is long. I wanted to share this lovely story with you all. But seriously this really creeped me out okay. Being stalked kind of sucks.
-
I don't believe I've ever been stalked...maybe I'm just not that interesting. :/
One time, my kind of friend used to bug the heck out of me, but we're good friends now. I don't think I would classify that as stalking, though.
-
Oh good lord! Its happening to me really often, I just whisper to my friends in bonfire, doing nothing. Sudennly someone with pink character comes and sits on you. I move, it moves and when it doesnt want to leave... I log on different character and woohooo! Here we go! :D
