Title: Partially Transparent Custom Water [Mapmaker issue]
Post by: PayThePiedPiper on January 06, 2015, 08:46:27 pm
I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer I was looking for so I hope it's alright to ask here.

When using a custom water color in mapmaker they show up fine but when you run a character through it every part of the character that's underwater ... kinda disappears. When using the standard water it's partially transparent so you can see the character partially underwater. How do I go about getting the same effect in custom water textures?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help with this issue.

Have you tried following this tutorial at all? This has been used in maps and it works perfectly fine. Make sure you follow everything correctly.

That was actually the tutorial I originally used. I have since figured out what the heck I was doing wrong and it was a totally silly mistake. I exported my edited files from gimp into a format that doesn't allow transparency so of course I was having issues. I felt so silly once I realized what I had done.

Thank you so so much for your help.
