Title: Program Blocking Friend From Opening FH

So Foxtooth was able to download FH, but every time she opens it, her anti-virus program, AVG, is blocking her from opening it. It restarts her computer, then removes the program because it's a threat.

This is a huge issue, might even have something to do with her firewall, so if anyone could give direct instructions to somehow get AVG to stop blocking the program, that'd be great! We are making progress here.

Most antiviruses/antimalware programs allow the user to add exceptions to sites and downloads through the antivirus's settings themselves. Check through there, and maybe even lower the protection a bit (this is all up to Foxtooth though, since this will lower her real protection against malicious programs) until you can get the game running without interuptions. I want my computer to be protected from viruses, so I don't think lowering the protection would be a good idea.. But when the anti virus warning pops up I have an option to ignore it even though it may pop up again.. Should I make another video showing what happens?

Well, to add an exception in your firewall without lowering the protection, first open up your control panel from the start menu. Windows firewall should be in the security section. You'll get a new window with a list of programs. Find FeralHeart.exe in there and add it to exceptions by marking the checkbox. If you can't find it, add the game to the list by yourself by pressing add program.

As for the AVG antivirus, I found some tutorials and a video showing how to allow a program past it.

This person has allowed Need For Speed through it, following instructions, but replacing it with FH and its location should be fine.

If nothing works, perhaps that video might not be a bad idea after all.

Try using the link I supplied above to add an exception to the program to begin. If it still cannot get through, add a firewall exception; take a look at Cruel_Fears's links.

Edited Avg settings. Im going to see if it worked. Downloaded FH first this time, then edited settings. Here we go..
