A seamless preset? That'll be difficult, in order to do that I think you should see if there are any tutorials. If there are no tutorials I suggest you observe the body legend and head UV. I'm not a good preset maker but that is difficult, I suggest you make your own fur texture to line up.

I'm a bit confused by the description. Do you mean you're making a preset with a custom texture you're designing? Or how to make your own fur texture in general that is seamless?

In any case if you're using fur texture images to create your own fur texture you simply have to use your blur tool to rub out any narrow or linear areas. To match the fur up with the bends in the character mesh you can use the UV map for either the canine or feline model preset as Spectrum suggested. Use layers in your art program and practice with transparency so you can line up your fur textures exactly how you like over the UV map. It's hard to describe in words but I hope you get the idea ^^

ehee, sorry 'bout the minimal description, lass. i myself found it difficult to describe.
i've been skimmin' through YouTube'n tutorials. what i've seen is that they use the default body texture('swell as the UV lines) just as Ms. Spectrum and yerself mentioned.
what i am lookin' aboot for is a canine fur texture, i do like Sully's canine texture - but i am mostly after somethin' 'dirtier' if there is such a thing.
thank ye though.

No prob. You say dirtier... Well you could try adding some gritty smudges with your brush tools ^^ Lower the opacity and use different dark shades to give the fur that dirty look :3
