Title: Random ''[Name] has joined'' in-game.

I'll like to ask a question, as you can see. If a post like this has been already, well, posted, then I apologize sincerely to anyone who already tried to read this.

As you can see, sometimes me and some other fellow players get this ''[Random Name] has joined'' thing in the chat, even if we're not in a group. I'd like to know why this happens, and if it is important or just some random thing that pops up once in a while.

Sorry for all the trouble I caused or will cause.

I have come across this quite often (usually in Bonfire) as well.
I believe this is just some weird, random glitch that tends to happen from time to time in the chat.
Nothing to be concerned about. (:

It's just a small chat leak.

Happens all the time, it's normal, you just gotta ignore it.

As you mentioned in your own post, you get it "even though you're not in a group", it's the exact reason why it shows. If you'd join a group temporarily or for a longer time these messages would not appear in your chat anymore due to your character already having one. It's indeed a chat glitch still present in the game as mentioned by others. Luckily for us however it doesn't affect anyone more than showing some text in the chat.

Sadly there's no fix other than joining a group.
