Title: Weirdest SB arguments?
Post by: Sandytails on April 06, 2015, 05:37:14 pm
We're all aware of Sb's endless arguments. They can range from serious world problems to people angry because someone is howling. What's the weirdest YOU'VE experienced?

I got in a fight about Warrior Car sizes.

Yeah.

Aren't I fantastical.

Witnessed an epic SJW battle about whether doctors had to know your biological sex or not. I cringed so bad I nearly died.

I then participated over whether Clan or Cackle was more scientifically correct when referring to a group of hyenas.
(Hint: Cackle is the poetic term. Not the actual one.)

Had someone telling me and my friend to stop rping in local because, as they said 'it is for advertisement only'

Probably the "weirdest argument" you could say I had was that somebody raged at me for howling. "IF U DON'T STOP HOWLING I WILL REPORT U"

Yeah. Not really an argument, but you get the gist. :P

What's SB?

Stone Bridge, that, funky lil' bridge made a' stone down at Fluorite Plains.
All the best drama happens there, excluding Ficho and Bonfire.

Had someone telling me and my friend to stop rping in local because, as they said 'it is for advertisement only' .

That was an eventful day.
We weren't even really roleplaying, we were just... Acting like weirdos who had too much sugar.

I'm having trouble finding words for this one, yo. That's, uh.. There's a point where political correctness becomes counter-intuitive. Cringe-worthy, indeed.

Along the lines of social matters meets Stone Bridge, I once stumbled into an entire fight between two packs (we'll call them A and B) at one point. One had been upset because pack A's alpha male had stated that it would be a bad idea for pack B's alpha female to challenge him to a fight via RP, because she was small.

Pack B's alpha female became hysterical, claiming that it was extremely sexist for the over-sized alpha male to dare claim that her super-skinny, teenage female wolf that was half his size would be in trouble if they got into a scrap. He didn't help the matter by continuing to rub this fact (however true) into her face, and their whole packs got riled up. Throwing insults and the like.

It was quickly diffused by staff, but it was rather unique to see someone translate factual canine sexual dimorphism and general character stats (such as height, weight, age, life experience, sex, etc., all of which add up to benefit one side or the other) into somehow being sexist and anti-female. Which is a social issue in humans--not wolves.

Also a bunch of little arguments throughout the years. You'll find anything around there. ::) The vast majority of sweeties, though.

Ah yes, SB definitely has its interesting arguments, doesn't it? cx

I remember one case where two groups were advertising, and one group posted their advertisements immediately after the other group a couple of times, which for some reason caused the first group to get very angry, and accuse the second group of trying to "steal all of the members at SB."

And there's also been quite a few times that I've seen members get oddly aggressive about non-advertising speak at SB, as well. If someone dares to RP there, people jump down their throat or make fun of them. :c

Ooo, That has given me the motivation to do just a 3 max chat entry RP. The motivation is strong.. Honestly I just want to see if this observation reigns truth to it, xD

Ages ago, I was sitting at SB and felt bored so immediately typed this out in local:

"anim is 4 weebs lmao get shrekted" and then people started arguing against it, and like the troll I am, I argued back with horrible points, and just angered everybody. It was a fun sight to behold the raging anime-lovers scream at you for one simple sentence.  8)

More dangerous than most.

Not as dangerous as a Game of Thrones, but if you tick off the right(or wrong) people.

God's Speed.

And no one complained about all of that.
Best SB adventure ever.

When I saw this thread I just had to come here and post. I was advertising for my mapped RP at SB, like many groups do, and this other group told us that we were stealing all the people coming to SB, and that we should leave so we would stop "stealing them". I tried to tell them that the people chose to come to us, but they just got really angry and told us we were being rude? T^T

I think-... I saw the 'weeb' argument, or at least one of them. Whoops.

Otherwise, the worst I've seen was someone arguing that roleplay's a waste of time while they, themselves, were wasting time on an online sandbox game. To add fuel onto the fire, it was FH's first official roleplay day. It was downright bizarre.
