Did you make sure there was no alpha channel? I had this problem and was in despair. Turned out, I forgot to remove the alpha channel. Worked fine after that.

whats alpha channel? and idk if mac has that?
-
As Hylo said, there needs to be no alpha channel! And you are not allowed to have more than 1 layer to save. It's not like the presets where you can make several layers above each other, if you're doing a map, there can be only 1 layer.

It'd be better if you would create your own thread so it's easier for people to help. No one really searches in a thread for another question, just letting you know so more users could posibly help you cx

For GIMP and PS

What I tend to do is (if you are using GIMP) copy visible and paste it on a new sheet. It works like a charm and no issues. You may need to do this if you can't find the problem.

Map Terrains can't be 512x512; they have to be 513x513... one time I accidentally used a 512x512 map terrain and I crashed the game! (Then again that could just be my computer, the blasted machine...)

now heres the next issue. i hate to waste FORUM SPACE ON HERE!
i know you can make 2 mask layers... i did it but... there some areas that didn't come out clean. the areas that connected to the first mask layer are highlights. i did clean space, and black space.
