Title: Transparent Help.
Post by: Dyret on April 18, 2015, 12:49:36 pm
So, I've finished my preset.
Except for two minor details.

His head and teeth.

His head is not matching his body in color...

Like, his body is a solid 0,0,0

And the black on his his head doesn't look 0,0,0 when it should be.
On his head it looks like a totally awkward texture when his body is a nice, rich, smooth black.

If you don't want any lighter areas, don't use any fur texture at all on your mane. The body and tail should be fine.

As for the mouth area, make sure you haven't used a soft eraser tool, make sure the eraser tool you use is a sharp edged one. The smoother eraser tools appear to cause issues for people, such as this situation here.

So ye head seems a bit shiny, eh? This may be because you did not use a fur texture for the head. If you give it a texture this may fix your shininess. Also check the preset coding for your head. You may have it to reflect light or something to that affect. Hope this helps! As for the teeth, I think Buffy covered that nicely.

Also check the preset coding for your head. You may have it to reflect light or something to that affect.
It seems your preset has an ambient affect added to its material file, causing it to have a "reflecting" appearance. The transparency code you used must have included some extra additions. If you'd like, I can look over your .material file or get you a new transparency script (without other effects).
