Title: Objects Won't Appear (Solved!)

A similar problem to Sunrae's; I think there may be a difference, though, so I'll give all the details of my problem here:

- Once I figured out how to use the Object Maker to put already in-game objects into Map Maker, I set to work doing it right away. I made the objects and put them in Map Maker, and started making stuff with them.
- But of course, as is expected by my computer, SOMETHING has to go wrong. No object but the Palm Tree would appear outside of the Map Maker, and get this--- they looked like THIS!

Big fat palm trees that I have no idea about how they should appear that way!

- All files are saved in the My Objects folder; in fact, that was my first step in putting them in Object Maker. I copied the files over to the My Objects folder before ever putting them in Object Maker.
- I once reopened the game after it crashed and a few objects began to appear correctly (palm trees and a dead tree object I'd downloaded). But then I reinstalled the game in an effort to get ALL the objects to appear, and they all vanished. >.> I remade some objects and lo and behold, they did not appear.
- Therefore, reinstalling the game will not fix this problem like it has with past problems.
- The bad thing is, I was getting attached to the fat palm trees and had them in several maps. Also wondering where I can find that object as a separate thing so I can put it back on those maps... as a side question... ( I had someone who wanted one of the maps for a roleplay, so this is sort of important too XD)

Dearest floof, when you re-installed FH it deleted any exported objects you may have placed in your maps. When you re-downloaded them and exported them again, they will not show up because FH doesn't read them like the same objects. They are "new" to the FH game so you won't see them where you placed the old ones. This is because of the object folder for your map. Here is a snippet from one of my map object files:

Those numbers represent the axis points as to where you placed the objects in the map. Since you have re-exported the objects, they are not in the same spot as they were before, so the Object file for the map can't read it as such. Unfortunately, you will have to re-place all the objects in your WIP map.

Now about the objects that aren't showing up. Make sure that if they come with an OBJECT file to place that outside of the My_Objects folder. Also, you may need to export your map before you can head on in-game to see the objects.

It may just be the map that is causing the trouble. To check, place the items that are not appearing in-game on your WIP map onto a new, blank map. Save and export it and head on in-game to see if they show up.

As for the palm tree mesh, I could not find the download to it. I did, however, manage to find a map that uses those palm trees. My recommendation is to go to the FeralHeart Addons & Mods and ask for the palm trees used in Ember Island. The floofs there might be able to help you out in that category.

Ember Island! I have that map; maybe that's why the palm trees looked that way. (Well, there's one question answered... ha)

Did you manage to figure out the issue for the objects or are you still looking?

I don't know; I may wait until I get my own computer and see if the issue is resolved then. I'm not sure I saw and OBJECT files, actually... I noticed while looking through them the other day that a few files were missing, but I don't know where they are. (So confused)

I had a few objects, like the Basic Shapes (Cube, Cone, etc) in the "My Rocks" folder. Would that have anything to do with my problem?

Indeed, that would be the case. Any custom objects saved into the DEFAULT object groups in object make will not allow the object to show for other users or sometimes yourself.

You're going to need to create a separate group for them, dear~ ^^

Also, I'm confused: by "Group", does that refer to the group you put in brackets [Palm Tree], for example, or is it a new group such as "MyRocks", "MyTrees", etc. that I'll need to make? Like a new OBJECT file altogether?

I'd try both, but knowing my luck with FeralHeart (err, unluck as the case may be), I'm afraid of crashing the game if I try anything hasty. XD (One time I attempted to make a new object by changing the texture on it. I crashed Object Maker when I tried to do that. XD)

Thanks for all the help :) Thanks to you guys a problem I've been aware of for 2 years has now been solved! (Funny how some big problems can be solved just by learning one missed piece of information!)
