Title: Map Height Terrain wont load and I don't know what's happened

First, I've done everything properly as far as I know. I do have grayscale, 513x513 picture, and I have it saved as a MapnameTerrain.png I have searched the forums but all of the answers are the same and nothing seems to help. I have tried copying the map onto a new file, but it doesn't work either.

My only guess is the fact that GIMP wont save a file as .png, so you have to export it as one, but even that changes nothing.

Anyone know what's wrong?

Which version of GIMP do you have? You need the 2.6 version because in the newest version it takes away the option to save it as a .png

Did you make sure to hit 'ignore' when it asks you to export or merge visible layers?

Haha, sorry! Wasn't sure if you knew whether to do that or not. Yeah, when you go to save the mask a second tab will pop up that asks you to merge or export, just hit ignore. Try that and tell me if it works then.

If you still have issues, follow through this video from start to end(Gimp tutorial) and you should have a working heightmap.
