Title: Sculpture I Did
Post by: FizzyPaws on July 23, 2015, 06:26:44 pm
I gotten Sculptris lately, and I really like it. It's so much better at Sculpting, and so much more simpler (and waaaay less laggy) than Blender! I decided to dink around, sculpting a head, but then decided to create a whole body with it. Spent way longer than I should have. Probably like 6+ hours.

Images under the cut:

Somehow, I posted the images from smallest to biggest, when I was just putting them in random order.
Honestly, I think it looks bad.

I agree with Panzram!  This sculpture is amazing and it does look easy to sculpt. Imagine this, to make an animation out of this? Even harder. I love it, we'll done! :D

Honestly, I think it looks amazing. I find ears and horns to be difficult but you seem to have gotten it down and hh- If you make more sculpts, I do hope to see them.
I enjoy using Sculptris as well and I agree with you that it's a bit more easier to use than Blender. It's so much fun to just play around with for a bit and sculpt a few things.

It is quite fun! The ears, and horns were done on separate objects, and I am quite proud of them. The horns, I used the grab, and just slowly dragged. Lots of undoing!

This wasn't designed for animation, but actually to be printed! I am not going to dive into animation for a while, at least until I try to get better at modeling itself. This has waaaay too many polygons to be used for an animation or a videogame; over 500,000! I was thinking of making a version suited for GMod, but I'm not sure about that, because I'll have to look into making bones, and the model will be very low quality!

This turned out really well. I hadn't heard of Sculprtis before, but it looks like a great program. I can't wait to see more from you. c:

Amazing job indeed!
It's about video game quality too, you've certainly got some talent there.

Too bad it's got way to many polygons to run in a game without crashing. It's got over 500,000!

Hmm, yeah. I'm not so much into modeling, but rather sculpting for 3d printing. It'll be more of a hobby. I want to go into fursuit making! (although, idk we'll have to cross the bridge when we get there)

Thank you! I only have access to sculptris when I am at my dads, but I plan on getting ZBrush! It's practically the full version.

I have a nice big project planned, that will certainly take a while. If I can't get ZBrush, I'll switch between blender and sculptris though.

It really isn't easy, and it's pretty hard to keep the whole thing from jacking up just because one little mistake. Now of course, these kinds of mistakes in sculpting are rarer in modeling (depending on how you do it) but sculpting is soooo much easier! It's still quite hard, and takes a long time to get used to, coming right out of 2D art!

Wow, this looks amazing! As said before, you definitely have a lot of talent!

I'm surprised you were able to make a full body model, as well. I can barely make a head xD But great job on this!

Lol I know! It took some watching tutorials, and screwing around until it looked good, but I guess that's what it takes! I'm actually super confident about how my fursuit head will turn out, seeing as how this turned out.

Haha, I'm such a freak about them. You know... I don't think I've ever seen any others with four ears.

You said you had gotten it recently and think this sculpt is kinda bad... Bad? This was just messing around for a while? Ohmygod this is great. What the heck? xD
In all seriousness, this is great for just checking out Sculptris and all. If you think it's bad, keep experimenting and you can improve in the way you want to, eventually. If you ever need them, there's plenty of tutorials, tips, and the such for Sculptris. c:
