With everything else resolved...sort of, hopefully this will be my last pestion. B|
So. I made four maps, one of them the main one, and three side ones that connect to the main.
Their names were:
Golden Valley (main)
The Beyond
Heated Springs
Unevar Camp
with one I am to make later on called The Gorge, but I won't be mentioning this unless I need to as it is not started nor even done.
Well. All the maps are fully formed and ready to go, at one point when I started connecting them everything was working, well...just with Unevar Camp and, at one point, the Beyond.
However...Once I placed Heated Springs everything went weird.
I was testing them when I noticed that I had to additional portals in the Cape when there were only suppose to be two, a map for a group I'm in and Golden Valley, the main map I've made.
The two new ones were...Heated Springs and The Beyond? Weird right? What was worse is that when I did, in fact, check to see if the Map>Has Portal thing was cleared and NOT checked with both of the offending creations and they weren't.
After playing around with that I found out that another gate was messed up and when I attempted to fix that the entire portal to Golden Valley was gone and the Beyond and Heated Springs were both STILL there.
For an hour I went BACK and FORTH trying to figure this bull out and nothing worked.
Inevitable I looked up how to delete gates and get rid of portals and removed all the gates connecting the maps to redo them later and went to go check and see if those maps were in the Cape, beyond the Group Map, and could you guess what?
Those pesky two maps were still. Freaking. There.
For five hours I feel like I've been wasting my time, and two of that were spent figuring out the gates and portals, come to find out it was for NOTHING.
And now I can't get rid of those portals in from the cape, and from the inside, there is no way out.
And for the record, Yes I know how to use gates. Gate's aren't the problem I do not believe.
I just need help removing these portals now without damaging the Maps themselves so I can reuse them later once I figure out what's triggering all this nonsense.
#4:00 am and barely any progress.

Alright, so you have the 'gate' issue? I get that a million times so you don't need to worry about it. :) It's easy to remove gates that you added to maps. Simply go to the last tab in map maker and click 'Gate'. Then click the gate you want to delete from your map and click 'delete'. If you will have gates that are connected to the other maps then the other maps have gates, so go ahead and delete them like you did with the first part.
Another thing, is that when Golden Valley disappeared from cape of distant world, is because you made The beyond and Heated springs two separate main maps. Here is the process I would do to not get anything wrong:
-Firstly, you will have 2 portals in your main map. One for Cape Of distant world (for this you should only add the X, Y, Z and arrival yaw on the first tab) and one for The beyond (which you will create on the third tab). You then save the map Golden Valley.
-Secondly, you will create 2 portals in the map the beyond. One for Golden Valley and heated springs. And then the processes begins again when you do Unevar map. Just note that the maps shouldn't be in this order, I am just explaining to you how it's done. If you want your main map (Golden valley) to appear in cape of distant world), this will be the only map where you will have the portal to Cape of distant world, no where else.
To fix the part where you said The beyond and heated springs appeared in Cape Of distant world, you should untick the box next to 'has portal' in map maker (Only for The beyond and heated springs on the first tab). They appeared because they had a portal going to cape of distant world (your box was ticked next to 'has portal', now you understand? :) and do this for The gorge and Unevar camp if they appear in CODW.
Probably this should help you. :3 Next time don't stress out as much. The less you stress, the easier you can figure things out.

Ah m'sympathies to ye. I know very well how big of a pain a map can be.
As for the portals, head into the map maker and try to find the portal. If 'tis not there then export the map. Exporting is different than saving and it may just fix y'er portal issues.
If that doesn't work, I'd fiddle with the portal checkbox and see what happens when ye click it.
It could very well just be one of those many FH glitches that take time for FH to correct. There are really not many other causes for this problem, and no others that I can think of as of now. Try what I mentioned and let me know how it goes.
