Title: Help plz
Post by: DreamerDay on August 12, 2015, 04:17:46 pm
For quite some time i want to draw and be a decent artist. I really admire nature and wolves, so why not? Then again, when i ask others, it's really not what I'm looking for. They either say "I taught myself" (good for you but that's not what I'm looking for) or something else. Okay, so i did make an effort however, I took art classes but that didn't work. Um, I took and review a lot of "helpful" links but that didn't help. Um, also, question. Is it mandatory that you need a drawing tablet? I really don't understand how people use their computer to draw, when the mouse today is so sensitive. Anyway, yeah.

Any LINKS (no videos) for beginners or advice? Thanks for looking at this thread.

It is not mandatory that you need a drawing tablet. Tablets only give the user more control with lines and coloring as if it were a piece of paper and a pencil.

I once used a mouse and my drawings turned out good. You need to BELIEVE in yourself; you need to PRACTICE. That's the only way you're going to get a talent. Practice, practice, practice. You can't become an artist overnight, that's not how talent works out.
I would recommend buying books for anatomy, or studying anatomy from internet sites. By studying, this means you should draw what you see; over and over until you get it right(in your eyes). If you really think about it, drawing figures(such as a wolf, or human) is constructed of basic shapes(circles, rectangles, and polygons).

As for links, here are some I found.

Hey Delightful!

I'm not too great at digital art. But I am good at traditional.
Here's some tips I can give you.

Practice with paint of course ^^
Try drawing first on paper, upload it to your computer, and trace the lines you made through a art program.
Also, try taking a look at this. My Best friend made it:

I hope this helps, also, good luck! ^^

Well, I Am A Self Taught Artist, I Do My Own Art And I Do The Best That I Can :) I Even Was Working On An Animated Series With Low Quality Animated Wolves (Mea777TheMoth On Youtube)

The Best Advice I Can Give You Is To Start off Sketchin and Practice Bone Structer.
Study The Wolf, Copy Pictures, Look Up Tips.

I Cant Go For Art Lessons Because I Hate Listening To Other People Telling Me How To Do My Art So I Taught Myself :)

Start With The Head, Then The Neck, Examine Anime Wolf Pictures For Idea's

Practice Makes Perfect! The Rest Is Up To You :) SO Practice Practice Practice!

And Have Patients... It Took Me Years To Get Where I Am Now (2011 ~ 2015)
