It is not mandatory that you need a drawing tablet. Tablets only give the user more control with lines and coloring as if it were a piece of paper and a pencil.
I once used a mouse and my drawings turned out good. You need to BELIEVE in yourself; you need to PRACTICE. That's the only way you're going to get a talent. Practice, practice, practice. You can't become an artist overnight, that's not how talent works out.
I would recommend buying books for anatomy, or studying anatomy from internet sites. By studying, this means you should draw what you see; over and over until you get it right(in your eyes). If you really think about it, drawing figures(such as a wolf, or human) is constructed of basic shapes(circles, rectangles, and polygons).
