im wondering, my friends trying to play FH But when they open it a black tab comes up saying
"creating resource group general"
then he gets a pop up
"feralheart.exe has stopped working
how can he resolve this?

Hmm, sounds like he may be missing some important files or said files 'ave become corrupted. This may result in the need to reinstall FH.
Ask him to check particles as well. There may be a few copies of particles, which will crash the game. Any files labeled with a "_{any number}" must be deleted or this will mess with FH and crash.
Has he tinkered with any of the files? Tell him to check any cgf files or any other type of file that can be edited. If he has accidentally edited one of the files, ye may need to 'ave him reinstall FH or get the needed file from ye or I could provide the file.
Let me know if any of these ideas that I 'ave mentioned works, and if not, let me know anyway so that I may think of any more reasons as to why this is happening to y'er friend.
Also, what Shay has brought up is a valid point. If they are using Mac or not a particularly good computer for games, ye may need something like Wine, which is a free download, from what I 'ave heard.

nevermind i woke up today with a PM from him that he has got it working
all he had to do was re-install it XD
