Greetings, I am having a spot of bother with a map I have download it will not show up in cape of worlds I have exported the file in to exports and the sound file into the FH sound file so I was wondering if anyone could or would be willing to help me solve my problem. Much appreciated thank you for your valuable time

My guess would just be that you may be placing the files in the wrong places. If there is a read me file in the download, it should tell you where to place everything. If not, here is a video tutorial, just to make sure everything is going where it should : http://youtu.be/xlxv2D6D7uo (http://youtu.be/xlxv2D6D7uo)

Be sure to put all files (besides sound files or another file specifically required in a designated area) in the exports folder. Double-check to see if you have put the .fhm file in exports as well- this is the actual map file that will allow you to enter into the map through the Cape of Distant Worlds. If you did not receive an essential file, you may have to re-download the map, or the download itself did not include these files (if the download is missing files, the map won't work.)

it had all the files there and I followed the read me and it still didn't show up as a portal in game

Seeing as you said you've downloaded a map and continue by saying exported it to exports it confuses a tad bit.
You only export a map to exports if you made it yourself in the game, otherwise you copy files into the exports folder containing the map. Just going to ask, it is a map you downloaded correct? Question number two. Do you have any other custom maps installed currently working in your game and portals showing in cape?

I meant to say I copied but yes I have another map and the portal for that map is showing up

What ye may need to do is redownloading the map. It could very well be a corrupted file that is hindering the map portal to appear in Cape. Also, make sure ye account for .fhm, .fho, .fhs, and et cetera, but I believe these are the main files {and only, since I can't seem to think of any other FH exported map files that should be needed} that ye'll need to place in exports. Also, for y'er sound, if 'tis a MP3 file, do not place it in the sounds folder, but the music folder. The music will not play otherwise.
If what I 'ave said doesn't fix y'er issues, is the map that ye downloaded public? If so, might I 'ave the link so I may test it f'er m'self? 'Twould help me be able to identify the issue at hand.
