FeralHeart has been a safe place for me since the beginning of my middle school years, all the way up until now, 4 years later. It's been my escape, my second home, family, life. I've always felt very welcomed in the community, which is one of my favorite things. There's so many accepting and loving people on this game, I make so many new friends so easily, which is almost impossible to do in real life, so it's made me feel accepted, wanted, liked. I really love the idea of being able to make personal maps, meshes, presets. It really tests your creativity. I also love the customization options in the game, whether it be the character creator, or the animations that people make, the sky mods, re-textures, and everything! I lovelovelove it.

Though some things I don't really like about the game range anywhere from certain markings to the community disappointing me at times. As I stated above, there's so many accepting people in this game, you'd think that everyone's like that, but sadly that's not at all true. There are many bad apples in the community, which is pretty annoying at times, though I've gotten used to their antics. I've met people whose sole purpose was to upset others, people who didn't care how others felt, etc, which upsets me a lot. As I said above, FeralHeart has been a safe place for me for the past 4 years, and certain people on the game somehow find ways to make others on this game feel indifferent about that, uncomfortable, unsafe.

But other than that, there's really nothing else I dislike about the game. I really love FeralHeart as a whole, and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

 I agree with Hooli. Feral Heart has been a place where I can come to be myself and make new friends. Since august of 2012, I have loved this place and what it brings to people. Is has made me the person I am today and introduced me to new things I never thought I would end up doing. I always feel welcomed and appreciated here. Its definitely a lot easier to make new friends and stay in contact on here with how safe the staff and community work to make it. I don't have really any dislikes about the game thought. Maybe the way the maps are set up, how there isn't one map that leads to all the others. This creates problems like the one that came up early this week, how ficho and lonely cave were a little freaky.
Besides that one thing, I really enjoy the game and community and love all my friends on here <3

Even though I have been known to somewhat disappear and come back to the game, it is merely due to personal reasons and not because I have thought the game to be anywhere near bad.
I have always cherished the time I have spent on here, whether it is with random people or friends I have made.
(This time, I will be staying. c:)

I don't mind the game being "poorly designed", 'cause if you compare the game with a lot of others out there, especially on the animal front. There aren't many, if any which are designed any better.
It's also one of the few games which allows us to stretch our creativity this far, with presets, map making, roleplays and so on.

Of course, the game wouldn't be anything without the community or the staff. I really enjoy the contests and activities the staff and larger groups on FeralHeart come up with for the rest of us to participate in.
(Groups like TEC and Arai tend to have things going.)

Nor have I ever felt unsafe on FeralHeart. Even though I began my time here as rather old compared to most. It was back in 2012 so I was turning 19.
I've made fantastic friends and gotten to know a lot of amazing people on this game. c:

 I've played lots of MMORPGs and other types of games,and,I have to say,Feral Heart is the only one whose community is indeed friendly and.. "peaceful",I guess?I couldnt find a better word for it.This is why I like this game.
Sure,FeralHeart,as a game,doesnt exactly have much to offer when it comes to "action" and all that,but then again,there aren't many games out there who encourage socialising with others more than ordinary gameplay,and I consider it to be a good thing. We need more diversity in games,no?

Some of my nostalgia may be speaking, but I'll go along with it when I say I love this game.

There are flaws, sure, I'll get to those later. But now, I'll say what I like. First off, what I like about Feralheart is the creativity. There's SO much of it, more than one might recognize. People making elk, their own species maybe, all kinds of creatures and there's only two models so often times people will use their imagination and I find that quite interesting. People will make maps, too, and I don't think I need to explain myself exactly for that. That, that is really new and that is something I really love about this game as well.

People make presets, too, and even the roleplays! Lots of creative roleplays! x3 The possibilities seem endless with the little we have in this game compared to other games.

The community is really nice, too. Sure, along the way you might find those who don't quite match that description. But that's just how things go, how people develop I guess I can say? I've had a lot of experiences on here it seems, and I'm proud of both good and bad.

I've met some pretty cool people on here, so yeah, I like that! Plus you can mod FH pretty well without the source code so that's a plus. |D //brick'd//

The cons I'd like to point out are glitches. Some are good, some are bad. Like for example, on the subject of maps and creativity, how some objects might disappear when you go in-game to see your map... That still kinda annoys me sometimes, which caused the big clutter of object groups stacking up in my map maker. owo

The game isn't super realistic, either, although I don't know whether to count this as a pro or con since it could bring out people's creativity as well. That goes for the in general lack of things I might notice, since the game hasn't been updated in years. Perhaps it hasn't been updated for the better?

But yee, sorry for my giant essay-wall of essay-ness. ...Well, maybe I'm not |D But if you got through it - //throws virtual kittens at you// hurre.

On a serious note, and to sum it up, there are plenty of pros and cons to this game. And that's kinda what I like, since some cons may have turned into the better, I guess?

What I like: You can RP as an animal visually
                   You can create maps
                    You can create wild animals
                    You can explore lands
                    The game has realistic textures
                     And more
What I dislike: Mate beggers
                       Literacy freaks
                       Attention hogs
                       Power Players
                         And some more

Positive:
This game is wonderful and when I joined I was really flashed by everything, the huge worlds, the possibilitys and everything! When I got older I started to find my best friends in this game and have a great community, getting into many fandoms like MLP or the Furry fandom because of FH and finding even more friends. (Not to meantion that without FH I would have never joined DeviantArt and would have missed SO MUCH and SO MANY people!)
What I ALWAYS loved about FH is that you can costamize it. Download items, interfaces, markings, Presets, create everything mentioned on your own and all the mods!
Another thing I always loved was not just the community, but also the staff as I really feel how they try to keep everything runing and excited with events and partys and everything! It's just a ton load of fun!

Negative:
As now being a 16 years old I find the age differences often a bit tiring when I get into conversations and some 12 year olds talk about their opinions while not overthinking any of them.
Also to be completely honest, this game gets rather boring once you get out of the RP-mood.
IW / IT was in one way more enjoyable, that there was the possibilty to hunt and have fun even without chatting and rping, while the biggest fun I'm having with FH is messing it up with mods and textures as I always don't seem to find many friends, due to already mentioned age difference.

But Eyuup still just my opinion, also I freaking love this game! There's nothing that could ever throw me out of here!

There's ways I can go and agree with. First off, I must say, I am enjoying it so far. It's good to see a community filled with nice users, good behaviors, and active staff. Though, it saddens me because everytime I join the game I am always...lonely. And I am afraid, if I bother someone who i know,they will instantly think I'm bothering them or just straight up. I like users to come up to me first and start having a proper conversation. Another thing I like about feralheart, is the talented users sharing their work and offering it to the community. Plus, I just love stalking art threads and requesting. It's like...whenever I see art I just instantly out because I care about my characters coming to life.

Anyway, yeah.

I love the fact that members can create modifications for the game.
I like how you can create neon characters with neon markings, to make your character
more creative (But I don't like how people yell at you about realism)
I don't like the wolfspeakers
I don't like people who correct you if you have a grammar mistake
I don't like how it's overrun with too much realism.
I don't like how neon characters are hated.

I really like it. I love roleplaying with my friends, doing parkour, or just chilling in Bonfire with my buddies. Although, the community... They sometimes annoy me. Like, if a random person comes up to you and starts being obnoxious... for example, "can I be your m8?? plz" or, "haiz o-o...... ur name doe.... uranus!! XD" yeah, they're not the greatest. Overall, FeralHeart can be a pretty cool game.

What I like about Feralheart:

-The easy customization of the game. I love just digging into every file to see how I can change it to make the game more realistic. (Not talking about hacking into files, but more just editing textures to be different, changing .MATERIAL files of trees to have a glowing effect, stuff like that)

-The friendly community! I've never seen a gaming community or fanbase that's so friendly and willing to help out any member.

-The music. I usually have it turned off since I'm listening to my own music, but whenever I turn it on, its just a punch to the gut of nostalgia and feels.

What I don't like:

-The other side of the community. I'm totally fine with matebeggars, powerplayers, etc, what I mean are the people who like to ruin others' fun, criticize characters, get all angry when they get banned, intentionally break the rules, etc. Luckily the amount of good people in the community greatly outnumber the amount of people like this, but I still see them a lot.

-THOSE PARTS OF THE MODELS THAT ARE REALLY HARD TO MAKE LOOK GOOD ON A PRESET YOU KNOW WHICH ONES IM TALKING ABOUT -points at eyebrows- -points at that one gap between the body and front legs- -points at that one random spot on the legs that is detached from the rest of the leg on the UV map and makes stripes really hard- -angry noises-

MY GOSH, YES. I KNOW RIGHT?! OUO All those hours of screeching in anger as I try to fix my preset in a spot that's barely paid attention to... I actually agree with a lot of your post, like with the music and stuff since I completely relate, but this part just spoke to me. xDD

what i love about FH:

- the ability to customize freely, whether it just be random markings, or making presets (or items!!)
- the fact its a doge/cat game
- the community! we're all here for one reason: to play with cats/dogs and i think thats rlly cool.
- the ability to create maps/presets/markings/items

dislikes:

- the not very nice side of the community. now, this isn't mate-beggers, or powerplayers but the players that constantly ridicule and bash others, intentionally break rules, enforce certain 'laws' on people.
- the derpiness of the models sometimes.
- hOW IT CRASHES 24/7

There are many things about this game that I like. I like the fact that anyone is able to create presets, custom maps, items, or basically anything for the game, and that people are able to download them to enhance their FH experience. I like the options for creating characters; it gives people so much creative freedom and adds a lot to it. One of the main things though is that this community is probably the best I've ever been part of; many people here are very nice, welcoming and helpful, and in-game I love to watch random fluffs derp around. I know there are some not-so-nice people out there, they're widely outnumbered by all the amazing floofs on this game ^^

I've never actually played online, because the back end is terrible. Kovu should have open sourced the darn thing if he was going to cancel development. The whole 16 character user name limit is understandable, but user not having unique ID's? Not being able to change user names becuase of that? Log in times are completely random becuase it lags up the servers? No it's not "completely understandable" It's just dumb. FH's backend needs to rewrited from scratch! This game has so much potential, that could be unlock if it was open sourced and the server software was remade. How about NodeJS manages realtime stuff via HTTP and MongoDB takes care of all the long-term stuff (usernames, password, skins). Then we use Slack as the forum software. Welcome to the Modern Web! This game has so much head room for improvement. There's so many new technologies that could take this game beyond the next level!   >:(
