Who is so retro and egoistic and uses Presets? XD

But say, isn't it much better to make custom Markings, until we have so many no one will ever need presets anymore?
Its almost that easy.
I'll make a start.
For my OC I only needed that Muzzle Marking I called "Shepheard."
Ive only teh feline version yet, canine to follow.
How to install a custom Marking?
1. Take the .png File and put them in media/textures of the FH folder.
2. Go to the FH folder and open Markings.cfg with the editor.
3. Look for the right "Category".
-FBody - Feline Body Markings
-FHead - Feline Head Markings
-CHead - Canine Head Markings
-etc.
4. Write into the right list: MarkingName; MarkingFileName
5. You're done!

Example:
Shepheard Marking
File Name: fmarkShepheardhead
F says it goes to Feline.
mark says its a Marking.
Shepheard is the marking Name.
head is for head marking
simple ;)
In Markings.cfg
it goes to FHead^^
Write in the list:
Shepheard;fmarkshepheard.png
Do not forget to put the .png file into Media/Textures!
and now the Marking should be listed in the Character Editor!
You can change the color and everything!

Yeah, but it doesn't work when you have fully-colored ones. Only the transparent/colorchanging ones.
For example, i tried to put in my fully-colored/textured etc. lizard head...didn't work.
So, it's still better to use presets for more detailed works.

no, you just have to work with rubber and brush instead of brush and...brush XD
but yeah for what you do this is better^^

They shouldn't be seeable, since they'd have to have the markings from Ayor's computer and do the same thing he did to see them.

Ayior, did you test them in-game? To see if people see them?
Because, i don't think they'd be seeable since the others' computers need to have the same files.Everything that's seen is local... i think.

the servers are down XD
but you also wont be able to see the presets fo teh opthers unless your downloaded them...
but who wants can use it...
well, i think otherwise the chara will only appear without that marking...
(but its the same with presets XD)

Yes, except others would be able to see and use the custom markings, I believe, if they installed them.
Still, presets have their ups, like extra detail and all that.

If you modify the Ingame Markings, only you can see them, no one else unless they have exact the same Marking replaced. Theres not really a goal in changing Markings except for the own use.

How do you open the file with editor? whats the editor? does it come with it or do you need to buy software?
also, some of the presets are completely white. can you edit those? like eye colour and have solid body colour etc? or is the whole thing stuck white?
