Title: What did I do?
Post by: cytofin on November 15, 2015, 12:31:32 am
Well after downloading a lot of mods and meshes I opened feralheart and tried to add all the meshes, before I could even come to the log in page it said 'feralheart.exe has stopped working..'
I did not delete any of the main folders.. What is it doing this?

You may have installed some mod that caused your game to crash. What kinds of mods did you install?

This is bound to happen if something is installed wrong. Perhaps you put something in the wrong spot? Maybe check your files again to make sure everything is in place.

I checked everything, None of the meshes or files were in the wrong spot.

Hmm, what kind of mods did ye download, exactly? Some may change the way FH loads meshes, like moving leaves on bushes and trees, which may cause more lag and y'er computer may not be able to handle it.

Also, did ye download any particles? If ye did or even if ye didn't, check y'er particles folder found in media and check f'er any files named with a "_/any number/" at the end of it. If ye do 'ave some of these, delete the numbered ones and try to load y'er game 'gain.

Hope this helps ye deary!

I downloaded some sort of ENB Mod or something like that.. and downloaded some fog and falling leaves particles. None of them had numbers at the end, I've tried redownloading fh and it did the same thing...

'Ave ye tried running the game as administrator? That may fix it up f'er ye if the game isn't working even when ye do a clean install.

"If you can get low poly meshes they wont do much, However if your computer runs slowly already if you use really detailed meshes it might make you lag a bit more, However it should not lag in public maps like Fluorite bonfire all those other ones. But as I said it depends on weather your computer runs well or not if it runs well then go for it use the meshes if not I suggest you try and stick to the low poly meshes."

(I couldn't quote it properly because it was locked xD)

But this could be your problem, and if the mods are detailed as well, then that could mix with the meshes and crash your game. I'm not entirely experienced around these things but this is just from my general knowledge. cx

I hope you can get the issue solved. c:
