Title: Windows 10
Post by: Morqque on December 13, 2015, 04:39:28 am
I plan on updating to Windows 10 from 8.1
I'm downloading it now
Do any of you have it and like it? Does it work good? How is it? How do games like Impressive title servers and FH run on it?

I find that Windows 10 is quite a bit different, but FH or IT servers run the same from my experience anyway. I'm not sure how it would run from a different computer. I like it though. It's not too bad. It all depends on personal opinion as well. Some may not like it.

I'm personally not in love with it, hehe, but it could always be worse, I suppose!  :D

Windows 10 is absolutely fine for me.
However, make sure your anti-virus software isn't going to block everything. For example, I once had the AVG Protection anti-virus software, and that completely blocked me from playing IT servers altogether. It's NOT fun!
My main recommendation is Avast, they scan the programs you run more more effectively and don't block it altogether without searching through it first; the only time the suspicions will rise is if they ever find a problem while scanning it. IT servers and FH won't have any problems to your computer, and therefore will be no need to turn off your Firewall or anything.
Basically, just make sure everything works- and if not, try checking your firewall or your anti-virus software. =P

I use Avast

Well I have it now. It looks cool, apps crash a lot but eh.
I think I'll keep it

Apps crash a lot? They shouldn't do, but I'm not a pro at Avast myself; only had it a week or so after it was recommended by my friend.
Potential reasons might be Firewall or some other, but you never know!

They actually don't crash that often now.

Guys now I have a dumb new question.

Windows 10 is installed. I had windows 8.1
If I factory reset and completely wipe everything...
Will it stay win 10 or revert back to 8.1?

______________-

Oh and I also prefer old versions of windows personally. They're nicer

If you want to go back to 8.1, then yes you can easily do so.
However everything you've installed on Windows 10 will be removed, and your computer reset so the Windows 8.1 can take its place.

If it works the way it did earlier this year when I had it, I'd advise against it. If you're a big gamer you'll only run into issues. Many games I run didn't work well with it. Windows 10 looks great but is terribly buggy as some others have mentioned. It needs to be optimized more before being really great. I also encountered strange issues with my sound quality and speakers when I had it. Overall too many issues for a pretty layout. It's nothing special and worth living without really.
