Title: Completely lost item?
Post by: Inoheiwa on December 15, 2015, 08:25:30 pm
So, I want to make a Sephiroth character for an in-game roleplay. I found the one-winged angel item, but...
My items.cfg and my items folder both have Masamune, which I also need. Masamune.mesh and Masamune.material are in my items folder, and a quick look for it in the .cfg file revealed it there too. However, using the game, I see the two items around it, but not the blade Masamune itself.

Any idea what's wrong with it?

Some items are only able to be used by a certain model. Try using the different species model and try looking f'er it then. If 'tis still not there, check y'er .cgf file very carefully, looking f'er any typos in that file or the item files themselves. Any misspells can cause it to not show up on the item selection.

I've checked for it on the feline and canine models, but I'll check it again.
Additionally, here's the entry for it in items.cfg:

[Masamune]
mesh=masamune.mesh
bone=Main
offset_f=0 0 0
rotation_f=0 0 0
offset_c=0 0 0
rotation_c=0 0 0

Is this wrong? It was in the legendary items pack...

Sorry f'er the late reply, but I am at a friend's house all week just 'bout and 'aven't had much time to get to responding to threads.

It may just be me, but it seems like this mesh has no coordinated set up. Offset and rotation sound like they place the item on a grid that corresponds to y'er character. Try adding some numbers to that and saving the .cgf, in case that is the solution.

It's fine, Eno.

But what numbers should I edit?
I also remember it popping up the first two times I used the items, and the .cfg is the same...
