Title: Connection issues

A friend of mine with the username starcasteclipse has been having issues trying to get into the game. They load up the game, log into the website, and then ingame. As they log in they get stuck on the character loading screen indefinitely. Meanwhile the website will log them out of the website after maybe a few seconds of the game trying to load characters.


I've walked them through making a firewall exception and helping them set up the google public DNS on both IPV4 and 6. But the issue persists. They have frequented the game just fine before this issue came up today, the reason I make the report is because I had searched extensively through the help forum, search bar, and general google searches.

The strange thing is they were able to get their characters at least once today, about in the middle of them trying they got to see their characters, when they selected one and tried to log in it gave them a server map connection error. They were also having issues with the website and a DNS error but we haven't seen that since setting up the google ones. Help would be appreciated, any data that you need I can provide.

When you say logged into the website do you mean they click the pages as in Forum and Home or do they click "Play Game"?

The uhh "Play game" screen yeah, they do use it.

 Is your friend logging into the right login page, HERE (http://feral-heart.com/login/,), and not just logging into the forum?

Try reading  THIS THREAD (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=54268.0) as well.

Are they minimizing the login window as they play? And have they tried starting up the game after logging into the new login, instead of the other way around?

Does the user have any other accounts on which the same problem occurs?

They have fiddled with the circumstances of the login, and they have used the correct login page yes. They also cannot access via other accounts, they have tried. As far as I know they have successfully played after the website login system was placed in. They will be trying again some time this week so hopes up maybe a circumstantial problem that has gone away or something that may need more investigation.
