Title: 3D Maps?

So recently, I heard that people have been making "3D maps" (as they're called) in a 3d modeling program. It sounds cool, and I wanted to ask if anyone knew what they were, how to make one, and the requirements for one.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no way of making "3D" maps. However, there is a possibility that there is such thing, so don't let this stand in your way c:

Goldchocobo did something like this a while ago-- She made a landscape in blender and then imported it into FH as a mesh.

It doesn't work that well because you always fall through the ground, so I don't know if you'd like that very much, shrugs.
