Well, I went to bonfire on my new cheetah today for little to no reason. I was looking around, and saw one of the TLK roleplayers was doing that out-of-control running thing.
Someone else told me that there was a shortcut they used to increase their running speed. I was wondering how this worked, or if it was a mod or something.

I doubt there's an "increase running speed" I do know there's some models or mods that users download, but running speed is never what I heard or seen. I don't think that person was serious.

If you're referring to a user who speeds forward in rather erratic movements, this can be done by pressing the "e" button on your keyboard. If your character is equipped with wings, however, this isn't possible unless you remove the wings, since the "e" button plays another purpose for flying. If you are talking about users who continue to run while they're not moving forward, this is simply a glitch.

It's not the 'e' button, I don't think, as the dash action makes you move at the same speed. It's most noticeable when you follow somebody, though.
It's basically their speed increasing at random intervals, but it doesn't go away when the lag dies.

It indeed could be the 'e' button. My sister and I used to hang around with each other on different computers. When running from spot to spot, she would use the 'e' button, and on her screen she would dash forward. But on my screen, it looked how you described. Using two different computers to compare was very helpful. Movement on FH is always a little delayed. It always took one or two seconds after my sister moved on her computer for it to register on mine.
It's no biggie.

Ah. Alright. Just had to understand that, though. Thank you.

Since your question has been answered, I will go ahead and lock this topic. As stated above, what you've seen is most likely use of the "e" button, but it's perfectly normal for you to see it in erratic movements.
