Title: Crash while mapmaking [Solved!]
Post by: EWSpirit on May 14, 2016, 08:11:29 pm
Hello! I am trying to make a map and every time I try to put the heightmap into the mapmaker, it crashes. I use Paint Tool SAI and then I open it in Paint.net and turn it to grayscale. Even after I do that, FH comes up with the Feralheart has stopped working message. I really am at a loss of what to do... I made sure that the capitals are correct, it is a .png, and in grayscale. Any help is appreciated!

Make sure that the map is flattened when you go to save it. If not trying moving it over to GIMP ( if you have that ) and then saving it again. Make sure 513 x 513 as well.
When you make the map, make sure its RGB when fill it in and that there are no blank areas before making it greyscale. I know I'm missing some parts but those are some things you can keep in mind when making the map c:

You may wanna make sure that the dimensions are 513 x 513 pixels and I usually use GIMP to turn my images to grayscale. Also, make sure the file name it [Name]Terrain.png

It should work if all that is correct.

Oh wow, it was just the wrong size! I changed the size of the canvas and it worked nicely. Thank you :)
