Title: .material File for Presets [FIXED]
Post by: AshyEsy on May 22, 2016, 07:34:06 am
I'm well aware of how to make double-sided presets, but how do people exactly set their .material files in the mr_presets folder to automatically go to Notepad or Microsoft Word. Currently I have a 2007 Miscrosoft word and I've searched all over creation for how to set the Notepad/Miscrosoft Word as default program but the file doesn't show up for me to set it as a default for it.

If you're asking how to set the preset as a notepad then you would simply right-click the file and then open with until you see notepad and it'll set it as a default. If it's not listed then you will go to more options until you find it.

And if what Hakumi said doesn't work, right-click the file and go to Properties, and then a little window should pop up showing you the properties of the file such as what kind of file it is. Right there in the first tab it opens on should be an option that says "Open With..." and from there you can set what program you choose to be that kind of file's default program. Once you've chosen, click either the Apply or the OK button on the Properties window and it should work. Unable to get on my computer right now so it's hard to explain this without visually looking at it, but I'm sure someone else can explain this process better than I did if you're confused.

I will go ahead and lock this thread as the issue appears to have been solved.
