I'm pretty sure my internet isn't the problem. I play online steam games all the time and I don't have any connection issues. I heard something about maybe firewalls causing the problem. How do I check it out and fix it?

Go to your control panel > system & security and then Windows Firewall.
Also, make sure you're using the login tab when you click 'play game' and keep the page opened and up while you're playing.

Adding on to what the two helpful fluffs have already told ya, sometimes the login page has trouble staying logged in. If you encounter this problem, just use a tab refresher such as refreshthis.com or urlreload.com and set it to refresh every 25 seconds. :)

Kind of a noob question but what do I do after I get to the firewall? Troubleshoot?

There should be an option on the sidebar that says 'Turn Windows Firewall on or off'
But if it doesn't let you click then you can troubleshoot.
Edit: Quick note: Make sure you're not connected to a network because it might not let you change it to off or on. But this is a last resort to turn it off. Make sure you are seeing if you're using the login tab as stated by others as well.

Yeah, I'm using the log on tab. I heard that the 'play game' tab works, I tried it and nothing happened.

Yes. If you come to a page that says, 'Keep this tab open to play' then you can try logging into the game itself. Open it up and login. Sometimes waiting a few seconds before logging in to the actual game itself also works.

What browser are you using?
Chrome & Firefox are the best options for this so the tab doesn't kick you off.
Also what exactly does it do the moment you log onto the tab?

I'm using chrome. The moment I log on in the tab it just says stay on this website while you're playing or something like that.

That means...you can log into the actual game. Click the Feral-Heart application and log in ^^
If the icon ( shortcut ) is on your desktop, then go ahead and open it up and you should be able to play. Just keep that page up once you login successfully and refer to Arctic's post about the tab refresher if it keeps kicking you off.

I tried everything...maybe I can set up a join.me to see what's happening, idk. I may just uninstall.

As a last resort...if you're trying everything here's a quick rundown:
Make sure your internet is good.
Changed Rendering Systems? You can go to options > video > rendering systems
No duplicate particles ending with either _0 or _1 because that might make your game crash.
