Title: FeralHeart Keeps Crashing [FIXED]
Post by: iCharlez on May 24, 2016, 10:25:29 pm
Every time I open FeralHeart, a window pops up saying "FeralHeart.exe has stopped working". I am making a map this usually happens when I add new mesh files into the "my_objects" folder, not all the time though.

To fix this, I have literally deleted the whole FeralHeart folder and uninstalled it TWICE. I am getting frustrated and I don't want to have to place all the files back into FeralHeart for a third time.

All suggestions/solutions would be appreciated. Thank you!

When you uninstalled the game, did you make sure you did so using the uninstall.exe instead of just deleting files? You may have deleted important files for the game to run which might be causing the problem.

Adding on to what Kynvuu already suggested, when you're inputting the meshes or what have you, are you sure the files aren't corrupted in any shape or form? If your map is crashing then it could be the reason and you might need new files.

Have you tried checking for double particles in your particles folder? If you spot any files that end with _0, _1, etc., be sure to delete these, or the game can cause you to crash.

So I decided to stop being so lazy and uninstalled FeralHeart again with the uninstall file in the FeralHeart folder. I didn't add the mesh files that caused my computer to act up, and it works.

Thanks :D

I guess the files weren't safe or they were corrupted.

I'll go ahead and lock this as your problem no longer stands. Hopefully you won't have any further issues, and good luck!
