Title: Bird Preset Texture?
Post by: yourlocalcrow on June 03, 2016, 11:07:54 pm
Hello there! I'm in the mood for making a bird preset, and can't seem to find any proper textures for it that suit what I'm trying to make. It's something that I can easily remedy, but I'd still be interested in finding a proper texture for it. I know of two (
this (http://tinyurl.com/jkssu6w) and this (http://tinyurl.com/hc9ofz4)), but they're far too dark for me to use.

If there are others, I'd love for them to be brought to my attention. If not, well, I can always try and make my own, terrible texture. ^^

Don't know if this would work or not, but couldn't you possibly just lighten the colors of the textures in whatever art program you use?

You can always lower the ocapacity for the texture layer. If it won't work, lock the transparent pixels and go over it with a lighter grey color.
If neither will work, you can always search DeviantArt (http://deviantart.com) for FH Bird Textures.

Hopefully you'll find a texture that suits you!

A great program i use is GIMP. [But you can use any program you'd like! :D]

STEPS:
1) Open up the textures in GIMP
2) Click on the texture [texturename.jpg]
3) Go to Colors and wait for the drop-down. "colors" should be between Layers and Tools
4) Click on Brightness-Contrast...
5) Make it how-ever bright you want by using the two scroll bars and moving them to the right
6) Save it! ;)
