Strange how I haven't encountered that problem but my friends and others have. They just kept resetting their homes a few times before actually sending them home and kept trying. It eventually worked for them but other than that, I don't know what else to suggest ^^;

And in case the problem persists, another thing you could try is changing your characters names, just long enough until you actually get in before changing them back c:
This has helped out a lot of floofs so it might even help you out as well ^^
