I've noticed that I've created a style for how my characters personalities and looks are, I've made characters similar to my other ones without even realizing it until later on. I realized a lot of the time I make my characters either more withdrawn and somewhat stuck up, kind or shy, and sometimes evil. But what I noticed with all of these character personalities is that they all seem to have some things in common. I often wonder if my own personality sometimes mixes in with the characters as I role play with them, even when I'm not trying to.
Has anyone else noticed a similarity in their characters, or have they learned things about their own personality from the personalities they give their characters?

Well when I created my characters personality it was kinda based off of mine. but not really. Like one characteristic in my characters are being quiet, and that's how I am in real life. I also noticed that most of my characters personality they are antisocial, or shy. But I try to keep them different.

Mine are usually very determined, hyper, fun-loving, and sometimes snippy. xD

Nej, Nej, only if you happen to see me on a character that you don't normally see me on. Those are the ones you might want to pay attention for. Might not even have bios. Lol.

I've noticed that all of my characters are either motherly, kind, and quiet, or they're sarcastic, rude, and generally (pardon my French) [Removed by Moderator]. There doesn't really seem to be an in-between. The mother/kind/quiet characters tend to have brighter colours and are usually females, while the sarcastic/rude/[Removed by Moderator.] characters have darker colours and are usually males.
Perhaps that says something about my view on men. Perhaps it doesn't. Decide for yourself.

I understand what you mean and thank you for sharing, but please try to use alternative words in the future such as being jerks or moody, even buttheads works. Just to keep the site user friendly. x3

They're usually arrogant idiots who get themselves into trouble but look good doing it, because those are my favorite types of characters. I have like

I think it has to do with knowing how to express that personality trait. You try and do a personality you're not familiar with and you'll find yourself making that character sound out of place. But there's nothing wrong with making the characters similar to each other, so long as you're comfortable and happy with it!

High-temper, annoying, probably violent... Yeah... that kind of people. Let's just say, they often provoke and build bad reputation, then whine about how nobody likes them...

When it comes to my character personalities they vary from kind/motherly, to irritated if pushed to the limit and 'leader' type attitude. ^-^
Though that being said, i've always been 'Alpha' of my own group so the leader thing is sort of apart of me. xD
If that makes sense.
