Title: Crashing.

Ugh I have so many problems. Anyway, I log in like normal and the loading screen starts after I select my character. I get ready to play as the music cuts out. I get confused, then it says it isn't responding. Then crashes. It's done this FIVE times now. Can someone PLEASE help?

It could possibly be that the rendering system the game is running on isn't suited for you. You could always try changing the rendering system, or running the game as an administrator.

Made it open gl...it killed my game to where I can't even log in.

Try downloading the light version? Unless you already have it downloaded.

It reduces the quality to make it easier for your game to process and load.

Make sure are files are correct.

If all fails try and re-down load it and see.

Also try reseting your character's home through the User Panel here on the site. Then send them all home and see if that works.

I'd definitely recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the light version, but after that, try to avoid clicking or minimizing during the loading screen; and be sure to reset your characters homes to lonely and sending them there via User Panel.

I did a home reset and installed the light version but it's just a black screen (like when I loaded it after I made it  OpenGL). So I was thinking, is there a way to change the render system without being in the game?

This might be because one of your characters are stuck in maps.

You can go into the Main FH folder and open up the Orge.cfg file and changing the rendering subsystem at the top with one of the two choices that's in the brackets.

Ugh ok so I change the render system to Direct and now it crashes RIGHT as I open it.

Make sure there isn't any duplicate particles / files what so ever.

Did you remove everything of Feral Heart before redownloading and installing it? It sounds like you might have some type of file issue, either that or some type of compatibility issue. It's possible you have another program on your computer that is blocking Feral Heart from loading correctly. The Rendering systems might not be being read correctly due to issues with permission. Do you try to run the game as administrator?

I am running it as an administrator (as told before) I don't think I did remove anything and all I did was uninstall and reinstall. How do I check if a program is blocking it, though?

As far as checking if anything is blocking it, it would have to be some type of firewall issue or anti-virus software. It could also be that the rendering system itself didn't install correctly. (Sorry for missing the other parts, kind of tired xD) Also, in order for the uninstall and reinstall to work you have to uninstall Feral Heart and completely get rid of the program before redownloading it. Installing it doesn't fix the files already on the computer, it's only after you download them a second time they can be fixed.

After doing a full uninstall and reinstall (deleting EVERYTHING) it appears to be working

A'ight.

Just a small clarification:

If after playing with your char it crashes, and you log in again with the same char and it crashes again while on the loading screen or after a few secs of playing again, you can change the name a bit (a letter or two) or his colours or body parts, if it does not work well.. G' luck i guess.

I'm glad to hear that a complete install worked for you. It's possible that a file had been misplaced, which caused your game to act up, and a fresh install can usually help fix this issue, if you're not sure what exactly is wrong. I will lock up your thread, also, since the problem appears to have been fixed.
