everytime i try to log-in on the browser, it logs me back out at random. i have tried a tab refresher but it had no effect at all. i cannot even get past the character screen as it shows up saying "loading..." but never passes that point. i have tried using other browsers for my log-in but nothing seems to work. i haven't used this account in a long time, however. and i noticed i have none of my characters when i went to reset their homes.
any ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling(?)
Also, try restarting your router in case it's the internet.
Try logging into the play game tab using a cellular device.
Create your character in parts, save every now and then in case you do get kicked out the tab and you won't have to do so much.
Try changing rendering systems.
Finally, you not only have to reset your character's home but you have to SEND them home as well.

no, i have not tried uninstalling and re-installing.
i have tried logging in with both of my phones but neither worked.
i can't even get to my character creation screen. no characters show, nor do any options but the 'back' button.
when i go to send my characters home, none show up. i literally have no characters anymore. there is no options for any of my characters to be sent home or be restarted.
edit: now that i check, the screen to change rendering systems doesn't even show. fh just loads up on its own.

This is indeed weird...
I recommend doing an uninstall / reinstall just in case changing rendering systems didn't help.
Get rid of all the FH files and then try again.

i suppose at this point it's the only thing i can do.
when i first installed fh again, there was only one rendering system to choose from..
this is quite perplexing. i will reinstall it and see what happens from there and get back to you.

You can change rendering systems by going to the orge.cfg in the main feral-heart folder and typing it in there.

hmm. what program do i open up the ogre.cfg with? notepad?
i just re-installed it but haven't tried anything yet.

both rendering systems are there, but the last time when i opened the game was only direct3D9.
i went to start up the game again and it's still the only option. i usually use openGL. is there anything specific i should be typing in the notepad?

Yes. You need to type the OpenGL Rendering Subsystem where it says 'Render System= at the top.

but it's already there. my notepad has both rendering systems.

So try the other one then.
At the very top, there'll be something that says 'Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem at least that's what mine looks like.
Underneath that there will be the two subsystems in the brackets.
On that top, first line, you'll put whichever rendering system you use and then save.

ah, i catch what you meant.
well i did that just now. opened fh up after changing it to OpenGL, saved it and closed it.
fh still says Direct3D9. no OpenGL choice.

Have you tried just running it, just in case it did actually save?
Unless that's the only thing that your computer can run on.
Have you checked the in-game settings and went to video and then rendering subsystems?
You don't have any programs that could he effecting the files or anything, yes?
