Title: Churro's WIP Maps - Feedback Wanted!
Post by: XxInsaneAsylumxX on June 28, 2016, 09:42:05 pm
Works in Progress - June 2016
So far, I've got three maps I've got to finish. I wish to hear user opinion on what they'd like to see and find in each of these maps.

Maebad Alrramal - 20% Complete
This map is placed in a harsh, yet empty desert. Within it sits a menacing castle, which will have a portal leading to an underground temple/dungeon.

Gale City - 70% Complete
This large city has larger than life buildings, and a small port on the island separate from the mainland.

Hyrule Grotto - Breath of the Wild themed map - 0% Complete
A map inspired by the latest Legend of Zelda game: Breath of the Wild. This map will not focus on geographic accuracy, only the atmosphere and feel that BotW's landscape has. This will be a smaller map.

I really like this so far. I can't wait to see how the final map looks.
Since the castle is menacing and it's in a dessert, do you think adding a few dead trees and possibly some birds in the sky would be a bit too much? Y'know, give it more of that desolate feel.

All in all, this is just my suggestion / opinion so if it isn't possible that's completely understandable.
Keep up the awesome work ~!

From what I can see so far, these maps look simply gorgeous! The only thing I would suggest is perhaps adding some slight vegetation like Hakumi suggested in the desert map. Maybe some cactus or rocks or tumbleweeds. That way it doesn't feel quite as open. c:
