Title: HELP!
Post by: DancingWithDeath on August 03, 2016, 10:08:49 pm
I got my laptop fixed, but I tried to download some torrenting programs and K9 Web Protection doesn't let me, because it thinks I am downloading P2P. I tried Web Setup, but all it does is log me in and out all over again. I want to download the update. But I can't. Please help me.

If you don't want to go across Adfly, I'd suggest you to use this link: www.mediafire.com/download/7b69j3pe2u6d9x0/FHsetup1.15.exe (http://www.mediafire.com/download/7b69j3pe2u6d9x0/FHsetup1.15.exe)

Oh, and sadly, my laptop still can't use mediafire.

If you had the same issue as I did with Mediafire just not downloading and only refreshing, and if you are running any type of Hughesnet (does that make sense?) go to systemcontrolcenter.com. It will automatically take you to your modem's..well...control center. And there should be a tab somewhere (mine is on the top left-hand side) that says "Web Acceleration". Click that and click the "control" when it drops down. There then should be a box that says "Web Acceleration Enabled" and it should be checked. When you want to download from Mediafire, uncheck that box just while you are downloading things from Mediafire. I use it and it does not affect anything else (only slows the internet down while the box is unchecked, but when Mediafire is done downloading, just recheck it)

I don't know if this is your problem or not at all, but I just though I should throw it out there in the slight chance it works, cause it did for me. :)

As a backup in case Arctic's solution doesn't work for ye, I'd be happy t' send you the files over Skype or Deviant art, assumin' ye have one of those two.

Also, have ye checked yer download folder after attemptin' the Web Setup? I may be a unique case in this, but I found that when I kept loggin' in n' out, it actually did give me the installer to use.
