Title: Static noises in mp3 files
Post by: Keaira815 on August 17, 2016, 11:11:49 pm
I was making a map, and this time I decided to give it some music. I gathered my .mp3 files together and placed it in my map correctly. But once I tested the map, I noticed loud scratchy static noises at the change of each song. How do I fix it, and make the music play smoothly?

Honestly, I don't think there is anything you can do. Could be wrong. But when I make music tracks, some transition smoothly, and some static at the start. It could just be an audio thing.

Like Arctic said, some work better than others, and I face the same issue at times more often than not. However I've found that .wav files work better than .mp3 files and transition a lot smoother, there are plenty of free converting programs that can convert video and music to different formats, two of which I'd recommend and have put links to below.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) (works as both a video and movie player + converter which there are tutorials on YT for).
http://www.videotovideo.org (http://www.videotovideo.org) (strictly a converter).
You can also Google for online converters as well if you don't trust either of those programs. Or if you don't feel safe converting then yourself, feel free to send them on over to me and I can do it for you.
