I just love the fact that it rains in Cherika, so why not have it rain in the other outside maps too? I think it would just seem a bit more realistic honestly. And I just love rain pretty much. I know this can prove some issues though, but I just want other floof's opinions. :)

100% agreeing with you on this one. I don't know how much weather has an effect on lag, I have a pretty decent PC. If we had access to the source code there could be an option to toggle weather on and off.
-
Actually, for the people that lag really bad with the weather, they could simply go and remove the weather file I'm pretty sure. Although if we did have the source code, it would be nice to have a weather on/off setting.
-
Oh, I didn't think of that. Deleting the file seems like it would work.

Thunderstorms rolling in and leaving very rarely would be nice too. But not sure how taxing of computer resource that might be.

I love thunderstorms ^^

Dude, it would be amazing if there was a way to put in some lightning and thunder!

i saw a map with fireworks on it so i'm guessing it would be possible, but complicated. If i ever get into map making i will try it.
-
Well if you're familiar with making particle files for all of the weather files it could be possible indeed.
-
I think this is a nice idea. :3 It would add a lot of realism to the maps.

Ooo I really like the sound of this. It would add a lot of realism to the game and I mean, who doesn't love the rain, amirite? XD
-
I must agree this would be a nice addition.

I quite like having different types of weather pop up in several maps. I think it would be neat to have some maps have specific weather qualities, as it indeed adds to the realism and immersion of the game. The only issue I find here is that the weather files can take a toll on those who have a computer that doesn't handle those sort of files well, thus causing lag. While it's true that users can remove the weather file from the game, this would still prove to be an issue for those who aren't aware that they can remove the file. Nonetheless, there will always be users who have difficulties with the game, and the weather cycles aren't all that hard to remove if lag continues. I really like having lots of interesting weather patterns, done in moderation, of course, and I think it would be wonderful to see more weather cycles in the future.
Interesting topic, Arctic. c:

Didn't think I would get this much support! But yeah, I did think of lag issues too, but if this is ever implemented in a future update, maybe it could be mentioned that it may have lag issues and have something saying how to fix/remove it?
