Title: What is Preset Sync and how do I use it?

I don't know what preset sync is and was told to ask... so xD

A Preset Sync means you will download everyone's preset who puts it in the "system".

To use it click on the Home button [top right hand corner] > Log in > User Panel > Log in > Below the list of characters you have it will say;

Quote

Preset Uploader
By uploading here you are stating you have full redistribution rights for all textures and code within your preset
Don't know what this is?   Check here
Have you shrunk your preset before uploading?   Check here"

Below that click on "Choose File" > Feralheart folder > Presets [NOT MY_PRESETS] > Double click on the preset you want to be uploaded [Ex. D-ead7Dog_5.fhp] > Click "Upload Preset". :)

Alright thank you, I want to use it but never heard of it (or didn't pay attention)

The preset sync is basically a way to download many presets without ever actually having to do it manually. Players are able to just submit their preset, then all people have to do to see it is restart FH. No downloading/placing files, it's simply there

However, you'd need to install the sync system in order to just start seeing peoples' presets. The info/download instructions thread can be found here:

While this makes preset sharing very efficient, it unfortunately hasn't been very popular in the last year or so. Since the update, I'm not sure how many people have it installed or if people are even uploading their presets

Hmm... if they really wanted people to use it, why didn't they just add it with the game download. Therefore as soon as you download FH people with uploaded presets could be seen readily

It's because some peoples computers may not be able to handle all of the preset files and the preset sync requires the download of another program
