Title: Map Creation Question (For Advanced)

Hello All.

I'm not actually sure if I should be posting this here or not... But I was curious to know if there were any other programs I could use for making a map?

I don't mean like simply drawing height maps ... I mean something a'lot like this

Is it usable for feral heart or is there something else...?

You can post this thread here, don't you worry. It falls under the correct category.

The pictures for Vespian fail to work so the extravagant detail you're hinting at doesn't register to my eyes. However, the programs I know are usable for making maps are: Gimp, Paint Tool Sai, and Photoshop

I've never known someone to have made a Feral Heart map with Earth Sculptor. It wouldn't hurt giving it a try. Let your curiosity perhaps find another usable map-making program.

There's this tutorial and program but I found it somewhat confusing, perhaps you could make sense of it. It uses Terragen to create 3D heightmaps that are usable in FH.

There is also this program, World Machine, that I haven't tried yet. Although this tutorial includes pictures and may be more helpful to you.
