Title: Turn to Page 47 of the Book Nearest You
Post by: forks on March 03, 2017, 11:11:22 am
This is a game I got from another site and figured it would be fun!

Turn to page 47 of the book nearest you and post the first two sentences here. No cursing, violence, or anything that would get people upset.

My example - Hunger Games: Catching Fire
"'Not in District Eleven,' says Effie. District 11."

"For a while we walked only to the sound of grass crunching beneath our feet, but as the sun rose higher, the birdsong swelled around us. Shrikes and sparrows twittered in the low brush, while hunting goshawks, their pale bellies flashing in the sunlight, cut the sky above."

Ublaz leaned over, his silver dagger tapping a bark parchment and charcoal sticks, which lay on the table in front of the corsair. "You saw the six pearls, did you not, felt them, noted their shape, held the shell in which they were kept?" he snapped.

'Viridius, sprawled on his gout couch, had already started conducting the castle choir by the time I arrived, breathless, breakfast rolls in hand. He glared at me; his beetling brows were still mostly red, though the fringe of hair around his head was a shocking white.'
