Title: How do I download feral heart

I activated my account but I'm not sure how to actually play the game now. I downloaded the 'FH setup and the game icon is on my computer but when I press it, it says 'programme can't start because OgreMain.dll is missing from my computer try reinstalling the programme to fix this problem' and when I click it off another one says it can't start  because 'irrKlang.dll' is missing and yet a third sign comes up saying libOIS.dll is missing. Do I need to download these? When the signs go, there is a black screen with non stop writing that keeps typing that says what looks like people's usernames and when they first logged on and off and all the dates of them. I first went on to the feral heart site and pressed login and typed my username and password then it says 'you must keep this site open while you play the game'.
This has really left me confused, because I am unsure what I need to do next to actually play the game. Can anyone explain the steps as to how I download it or what I need to do next.

Regarding your confusion with the Login Page,
keeping this open is to maintain a connection with the game server; this allows you to actually play. Trying to log into the game without the use of the login page running in the background will come up with the error, 'Failed to connect to front server.'.
Therefore, make sure you're logging into the Login Page (https://feral-heart.com/login/index.php) and keeping this open throughout your entire gameplay -- once you've logged off and have no intention to log back into the game at the end of the day, you can close the tab and browse elsewhere.

Firstly, you should try downloading the game from it's Torrent installation if you are not doing that already. The Torrent installation tutorial can be found here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=56712.0). However, if that isn't working for you, then you should probably attempt downloading and installing the game from the Web download. That tutorial can be found here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=56747.msg775438#msg775438).

Usually, the dll files you have listed, are related to missing or corrupt dll files. Dll error messages can appear during program installation, or because windows cannot properly load them, or has failed to load them properly on start-up. These certain files are external, it presents a great opportunity for something undesirable to occur at start-up or installation.


All I can suggest really is the following:

Suggestion #1: Uninstall FeralHeart and remove the FeralHeart folder completely, then restart your PC in order for your computer to 'refresh' and load properly. Don't try to open things as soon as you see your desktop, either.

Suggestion #2: Try to install FeralHeart again, using either one of the installations mentioned above. If one doesn't seem to do the trick for you, uninstall FeralHeart again (if you did successfully install it), and delete the FeralHeart folder and all it's contents again completely, then try the other afterwards. (You should also consider turning off your anti-virus for a short period of time as some can contribute to finding unnecessary files that aren't a danger to your PC, I found this happened a lot when I tried running an IT server Tigg had created).

Suggestion #3: If no luck, still, then try updating your windows by going to the start menu and searching 'Windows Update'. If nothing appears (very unlikely, but let's just be prepared), then direct yourself to Local Disk (c:) \\ Windows \\ system32 and run the execute named 'wuapp.exe' to update your current windows program.

When I click download game on home page all it does is take me to an ad choices page to download Seo software which doesn't appear to be the actual feral heart download. Some people have told me to click on official downloads but I cannot find this wording anywhere on the main home page. Can anyone help more specifically step by step ?

Just to quickly explain, that 'ad choices' re-direct page is just a page that the download link sends you to before you can continue to the actual download. Don't download anything on there as it's not needed. Just simply click 'continue' on the top right or left corners (where ever the continue link may be), and proceed to your download.

Title: preset problem after downloading FH

Hi, we got u torrent, FH has loaded but now we are stumped on the reset preset part. I logged in on user panel but the next screen you show us of a table saying home or reset character. I don't get this table instead I get a preset uploader page with a browse button with other options below to change email etc. I don't understand preset or how to browse one on my desktop as I've never used FH or downloaded a preset before. Everything went OK until this point. I was just worried that is missed something in your helpful reply. Should I be going somewhere specific to actually download a preset. Is the preset simply a photo of wolf fur?

The table you described is only if you'd like to send your in-game character home - which I do not believe you've actually created yet.
An example of ever using this feature would be if you were stuck in a map you downloaded, e.g you keep crashing and are unable to load your character. It's unlikely you'll come across this problem until you learn how to download maps, so don't worry about that table at all for now!


The Preset Uploader section is for those with preset sync who would like to upload their preset; in this case you do not, and do not need to use it until you'd like to use a preset. All the game textures you need have already been set up for you since downloading the game.
