Title: Scroll wheel doesn't work.
Post by: FlyingGrass on April 25, 2017, 03:23:46 pm
I was browsing this forum and all of a sudden, my scroll wheel decides it doesn't want to work on this site. It works on every other site, but on this site I have to drag the scroll bar to where I want to scroll up/down to.

Please help, not being able to use my scroll wheel is very annoying.

That happened to me, it only tends to do it on Chrome.
It works perfectly fine on Firefox and Internet Explorer though, I'm not sure what causes this?

It works on this site in another tab, yet whenever it happens the problem is not fixed by reloading.

Yeah, I know. I think it may just be a problem with the FH Forums on Chrome.
It's only came up recently so I doubt the FH Staff know about it

You can always use the arrows to scroll instead, though Chrome has been known to mess the the scroll wheel.

I'd have a look in your computer's actual settings. Simply go to settings>devices>mouse and touchpad Refer now to the image below:

This is actually a glitch with Google Chrome itself! I've found that if you click a link, and then scroll before the page finishes loading, then the scroll bar will be unresponsive. So if you wait until after the page finishes loading all the way, and then scroll, you should be fine.

Thank you for this information! I've also been having this problem. It does really make sense that it's an issue with Chrome, rather than the site itself becuase I believe I've had this problem on other sites as well. I hope this provides a solution for the OP as well.
