Title: Why the blank main post?

I've come across a few topics where the main post is nothing but a brown line that spans the whole post. And all those topics with the blank main post have a bunch of positive replies, it's like something used to be in the main post, then it was edited to be blank.

And how do I put a brown line in posts?

Because they edited and deleted their post.
The FH Forums just automatically do that once someone has removed their post.

Before they removed it there would have been text there for people to respond to.

This is actually one of the glitches that occurred during the forum maintenance (which is still ongoing). It has happened in many threads, such as the old Forum Rules posted originally by Delay (Former Administrator of Feral Heart). It also has been seen in a few tutorials and leaving threads and old topic threads. Reason why I am aware of specific areas is because these are places that I've either had a friend wondering where or why their post content has been removed, or I generally come accross some myself.

It's just a glitch, which I hope it temporary. But either way, I hope this was answered accurately enough for you.

Several months ago, I contacted staff about this issue and what they told me was what Bawfle explained to you. With all of the forum work happening, it is indeed a glitch and a lot of content was erased when this happened. I lost several of my topics this way. If this happened to any of your topics, we do apologize. We'll be looking into this further and trying to see if the data is recoverable.
Edit: As Nynx stated below, the data is recoverable. Crossing out what I said so there isn't any confusion.

Adding onto what was said above, if you find a thread that has blank/no content, Private Message a staff member with a link to the thread. The data can be recovered, but it has to be done manually by staff. Unfortunately, there's no way to detect if a thread is missing content until we spot it, so the only way for us to be aware of the thread is by notifying staff.
