Title: How to hide my email??

Hello there!
I have a problem, I can't hide my email on my profile. I just don't want it to be there!!!  >:(
I'm trying to hide it in profile edit but there's no way!
Please, help me..  :'(

As far as I'm aware, your profile's email won't show up to other users anyway as no one wants to have their inbox spammed endlessly with pointless subjects. I just looked on your profile and don't even see an email myself, so I'm certain no other members can see it either.

Shurtle is correct in that ^^ The community cannot directly view your email address linked to your account, as in know what it is. They can however, send you emails (still without knowing your actual address) by clicking the "Send Email" icon below your profile. Is that your concern, .Pirate.? There is no way to remove that icon but users will not be able to find your email address. If you're concerned about receiving unwanted emails to that address, you can always opt to change the email you made with your account to a separate account in the User Panel here (https://feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=55).

Yeah, it is like that for staff. Since we must be contacted via private message on the forums in order to keep track of reports and inquiries, we don't have the icon so users will choose to PM us rather than send us an email.

Adding onto this- I don't see an email icon for FlyingGrass, Shurtle, or most users, and they're not staff.

Hmm, I am not sure why this is. There is currently no option or function to hide the email icon but for some it is not appearing on their profile, as you pointed out, and I had discovered as well. It is likely another issue with the site to my knowledge. We will look into this.

As far as I know, by default, your e-mail should be hidden. To check to see if anyone can see your e-mail, go to your profile and log out-- there shouldn't be an e-mail there. If there is, then it will be visible to anyone who views your page. We've been having the issue with users being able to contact you through the e-mail icon, which had to due with some of the forum changes, but we just have to wait for Raz to look into it. If you're imminently concerned that someone may contact you whom you don't wish to speak to, or if you're generally worried about the access to it, I would recommend changing your e-mail address via the User Panel (found in the golden box at the top-right corner of your screen, on the front page of the website) to an alternate or junk e-mail. Just make sure you have access to it and ensure that it doesn't become inactive, or difficulty changing the e-mail later may occur.

Patience is all we can do for now, until Raz is able to look into it.~ Hopefully this helps a bit, but we're sorry for the inconvenience!
