Hello! About a year ago I started playing FH. I've forgotten what my old username is, but luckily I managed to create a new account. So. I quit playing FH for a while and now for a couple of months I've been wanting to play it again. The problem is, when I try to download it, it works. But when I try to open the game itself, it just crashes immediately and says "FeralHeart has stopped working". If anyone has the same problem or know how to fix this I would be really happy!

Ok!

I really wanna play! D:

Hello, there.
For starters, this thread belongs not here. Rather, it belongs in the Game Help (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?board=24.0) board.
Where exactly did you download the game from? I know not if you are aware, but the game has recently underwent a massive patch. Therefore, any .exe files you may have already stashed in your device's downloads will not work. You will need to download the recent patch found on this site's Download page. Follow the steps provided and you're good to go!
It's also possible that some of the files did not download correctly. Make sure your internet connection is stable when downloading the game. I suggest a re-download.
I hope this helps you out! Good luck!

Okay, thanks! I'll be sure to try it out!

I'll move your topic over to the Game Help board, seeing as you're seeking assistance to play on the game.

Feral Heart got a huge update!
If you have map files or other files, rename the current folder to save it, then download FH again! This makes it so that you have the new Feral Heart but you don't loose your screenshots or mods from the last game!

Sounds like it could be duplicated files (look in FeralHeart > media > particles for anything similar to particlename_# and delete only the particles with numbers.) or a graphics issue (open the Ogre.cfg in the FeralHeart folder and replace "Direct3D9" with "OpenGL" or vice versa. It could also be something else.

If none of the above solutions work, i'd recommend changing your rendering subsystem from one to the other.
As in, change your rendering subsystem from Direct3D9 to OpenGL and vice versa (if you are on OpenGL, switch to Direct3D9).
To change your rendering subsystem, look here (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=10423.msg144821#msg144821). About halfway down that post, it should give you some information on the two different methods to go about changing it. You can change it through the Options menu or through the ogre.cfg. Since your game is crashing, it might be in your best interest to change it through the ogre.cfg file. That post will explain both methods, but if you need help, feel free to continue asking us in this thread.
