And the only animated prey i know of is... well intangible, it you try to catch it, it keeps moving.

Look there. They are not animated (I do not think there is, yet, such a creation) but they're actually pretty good.

You could possibly animate (automatic shealthing, not manually, IDK now to do it manually) those claws with a preset, but if you have a mane it'd look odd as it would be animated too.

I think it can work with a mane, look at this photo:

The black part in the corner must be the claws, as the same thing can be seen as a line at the bottom of the canine tail shade.
I have not tested it, but I'm sure animated claws is doable.

I'm not a good coder, so can anyone help me animate it?

If you make a preset with that mane texture above, but the black square was transparent (alpha channel) and saved as a .png as Mane1.png and then use the one above as a .jpg, the black square remaining a black square (make the rest of the mane coloured however you like) then the following code should give you claws that just appear every 30 seconds, then disappear 30 second later.
To animate them slowly extending would take me a little while to code. And they'd always be on a timer. I don't know how to make them key toggled.

EDIT: also, sorry, I have the color wrong... It should be "white claws" I'm gonna go and edit my last reply...
